The was introduced for the Skip Stop service on the in 1989, seeing that the (NYCT) wanted to improve services above 137th, as there is a Lot of commuters from West Side Service. made skip stop from 242nd to 137th all day untill 1994 or 95, when the skip stop was cut for Rush Hrs, by 2005 the was cut to help improve service more uptown/bronx..
