SevenEleven Posted December 24, 2008 Share #1 Posted December 24, 2008 Not the best, and I forget to make note of the bus number. Nonetheless, enjoy.

SevenEleven Posted December 24, 2008 Author Share #5 Posted December 24, 2008 Good shot... I'll try to read the car number. Looks like 1865. I was thinking 3865 or 3365. And for everyone else, thanks for the comments.
Guest Charles Posted December 25, 2008 Share #6 Posted December 25, 2008 Good shot... I'll try to read the car number. Looks like 1865. That's technically imposibble...B) 1) It has the LED signs meaning it can't be any of the 18xx-29xx series. Must be 3xxx up. 2) Looks like a 5th Avenue shot of the BxM2. 3) 1865 i think is at LaGuardia .None of the LGA Buses serve 5th Avenue. 4) My guess is 3355. Well you're right about it being a 5th Avenue Shot. It was taken right in front the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
MTR Admiralty Posted December 25, 2008 Share #8 Posted December 25, 2008 Well you're right about it being a 5th Avenue Shot. It was taken right in front the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I certainly recognised the location, I used MS Paint to blow the picture up... Okay I used Microsoft Office Picture Manager, and I am very sure the second digit is 8. Can't be an 8, the 38xx buses are the O7NGs.

Because I enlarged his picture a couple of times on two softwares. I am still convinced the first digit looks like a 1. I am not sure about technicalities. Last two digits look like 6 and 5. Buses that serve 5th Avenue in front of the Met only come from the Eastchester and Yonkers Depots, both from Bus. Neither of these depots carry the older MCIs, they only have the D-series buses, the ones that start 3xxx. Unless, 1865 was magically transferred to the Bronx and received LED signs. Could happen. TheHat Posted January 5, 2009 Share #14 Posted January 5, 2009 What time of day and weekday or weekend, then I could tell you. If it was a Monday around 1200-1230 PM and 3355 it was me driving. If it was later in the day it was 3385.(NYCT)
