MTR Admiralty Posted December 15, 2008 Share #8 Posted December 15, 2008 yes.. and it said Jamaica Nice! Nice picture, is it rare for a R46 to be on a ? Technically yes, since they use primarily R32s and recently, R42s. They were using the R46s as well, I think because of the AC units??? I forgot. Joe Posted December 15, 2008 Share #9 Posted December 15, 2008 I was on a 46 E twice today. The quiet ride justifies the lack of RFW.

BSmith Posted December 15, 2008 Share #14 Posted December 15, 2008 The R46 looks best on the E. The blue bullet goes best with the silver body to my eyes. Hope they stay on the E this time, tired of them feeling like teasers. And yes, the do have a quiet ride.

Guest Charles Posted December 15, 2008 Share #17 Posted December 15, 2008 I think the destination sign for Jamaica bound R46 trains is: JAMAICA CENTER QUEENS EXPRESS but I'm not sure if there's a via 53 St sign like the ones on the . And boy do the R46s look good on the . I really don't like the R42s that much. Used to seeing them on the East NY lines.

R32 3838 Posted December 15, 2008 Share #24 Posted December 15, 2008 The reason why the R46's were on the was because of the saturday G.O with the skipping van wyck and supthin bivds and there were 2 R42's on the with 1 R32 and there was a lot of R32's on the as well as the 2 sets of R46's on the . The storage tracks had to be used so they had to scatter the stored R32's,R42's and R46's along the , and lines so that the would run Express between Union Turnpike and Parsons Bivd. And Also because of the Broken Rail incident south of Farest hills ( The Track That leads to the yard).
