You'd be amazed how many workers (all the way up to desk superintendents) think that 34 Master also controls Broadway Lafayette and 2nd Ave interlockings as well.... I’ve been out of the loop for a long time so forgive me if I sound dumb. Although I’m an experienced IRT guy back in my transfer/ miscellaneous days I think West Fourth Street controlled Second Avenue and Broadway-Lafayette IIRC. Essex controlled the bridge and down to Chambers Street and then down to Broad Street in conjunction with DeKalb. I’m counting on you, RTOMan, Kamen and Bill from Maspeth to clear this up for me. Essex still controls from Just south of the Willy B to Broad Street area.. I Believe City Hall controls the Cut south of Broad St... You're calling Essex or 59 or WTC and they'll butt in. They're like that one person who has to get involved in every conversation. They'll get involved with Rockerfeller, or 42nd/8th, control or not.
