Harry Posted November 21, 2008 Share #1 Posted November 21, 2008 I am pleased to announce a cool new BB code feature using Google Maps. This could be useful in some threads to detail certain areas of a particular discussion. Warning: This code embeds a live Google Map feed and can be bandwidth intensive on some slower connections. Please do not abuse this code. Below are the instructions on how to embed a live Google Map in your post: Visit http:maps.google.com Search and zoom into the region that you want to display Copy the HTML embed link shown in the sample below Click on the Google Maps BB code icon shown below and paste the HTML embed code Click on preview and check it out. The post should look like my sample that I posted below [GMAPS]
View Larger Map[/GMAPS] We will test out this code for the next month and see if it causes any real slowdown on some members connections.
