7LineFan Posted November 29, 2008 Share #22 Posted November 29, 2008 Well, MTR... I guess the MTA is keeping the R-62 where it should be... Very problematic to get the R-142 on the since the MTA must pay more than just moving the R-142, the route sign must be modified to line as well as they need to move it several times to get it on the ... Not easy! Actually it really shouldn't be too difficult in theory, since they did this when the cars were delivered. Program the computers, record new announcements, and do the car shifts overnight. Not easy! The move is not easy, but if it is required, then it is required and the railfanners can't have any say. I have to tell you this, in the real subway world, we railfanners are a minority. MTR Admiralty Posted November 29, 2008 Share #25 Posted November 29, 2008 What about the stubborn car station display on the advertising strip? The MTA could get new ones for the and just programme the car to hide which lights or show which lights for whatever station.
