BM5 via Woodhaven Posted June 18, 2022 Share #1 Posted June 18, 2022 (edited) Here's a combination of photos and videos I've taken from the past few months. Below are some videos: M31/M57/M66 Buses Visit Times Square This one is most recent, and a result of the National Puerto Rican Day Parade. Basically the M66 (WB), M72, and M79 buses were running via 86th Street, while the M31, M50, M57, and M66 (EB) were running via 42nd Street. Led for some interesting sights. B32 Bus via B62 in Brooklyn This happened due to the TD 5 Boro Bike Tour back in early May. The reroute was for B32 buses to run only between Williamsburg Bridge Plaza and Nassau Avenue , via Berry Street northbound (no service to Queens). This was essentially a mix of several factors that ultimately lead to good timing. First off, there were missing buses on the B62, because when this bus departed WBP, the next B62 bus was leaving Downtown Brooklyn. Additionally Berry Street may have also ended up being inaccessible either way with the open street, leaving Bedford Avenue as the only real alternative, which this bus took (and made stops along the way). Also, the Pulaski Bridge opened before the detour was set to be finished, meaning that the bus continued up Manhattan Avenue, and into LIC. I was only expecting to get a short video just running up the route to Nassau Avenue and terminating, but this was interesting to see. Effectively, this bus was a B62 in disguise. M60 (& Others) via Central Park Also due to the TD 5 Boro Bike Tour, bus routes were affected in Manhattan due to street closures. Lenox Avenue was impassible from 135th Street to Central Park North (110th Street) requiring many detours. It's also one of very few instances where you get to see M60 buses below 100th Street in Manhattan while in service, which it never does while on its regular route. M101 SBS Buses Conveniently, I managed to find SBS-schemed XD60s 6115 and 6116 on the M101, both headed in service at the same time and same direction. 6116 also followed 6115 up to this point. Not the SBS logo is no longer on those buses. XD60 Q110 Bus Ride The Q110 operates to/from Belmont Park on event days, and this was from when the All Elite Wrestling event was at UBS Arena. XD60s do show up on occasion on the Q110, primarily during rush hours. However, the Q110 is still a 40-footer route and the overwhelming majority of trips are as such.
