Bay Ridge Express Posted March 12, 2019 Share #3 Posted March 12, 2019 What are those "shuttle buses" that run from Grasmere to who knows where? Saw some on Saturday at around 3:30-6:00 PM, notably there are passengers inside and they look practically identical to MTA buses. I saw some going along Fingerboard Rd and Clove Rd.

BrightlinerNewFlyer Posted June 12, 2019 Share #6 Posted June 12, 2019 Shouldn't this thread be in the NYCT subforum?

It’s running hourly to coincide with the Staten Island Ferry, which also had its schedule reduced. Shuttle buses to substitute for track outages. (My guess is that SIR service was stopped north of Grasmere or north of Grant City)

DS4Ever Posted February 19, 2021 Share #13 Posted February 19, 2021 I always wonder what it be like if SIR extends past tottenville across the river to Perth Amboy,NJ I mean you can go from Wakefield,Bronx to Perth Amboy...then again with the opening of the Goethals Bridge the S40 don't extend past Goethals Homes to Elizabeth...imagine having it go to EWR Airport on the S40 hehe
Pete23 Posted November 5, 2021 Share #14 Posted November 5, 2021 Is it hard to get into SIR as a train operator ? Would love to know the steps, getting processed as a TO, have my medical this week coming up. Just would love to hear everyone’s experience on here. Thanks !
Ale188 Posted August 30, 2023 Share #15 Posted August 30, 2023 Ah...almost 2 years later and the SIR is almost DEAD! (the r44s are dying, that's what I meant, like literally, they keep breaking down!)
