Mtatransit Posted October 5, 2023 Share #427 Posted October 5, 2023 To my surprise, Bee Line is still $2.75 for both Metrocard and Coin payment. You still get a transfer to the MTA Looks like they decided to not follow the MTA fare hikes

They updated the fares and passes page to reflect the new MTA pass fare but kept the base fare https://transportation.westchestergov.com/bee-line/fares-and-metrocard If they want to raise it they probably need to hold public hearings soon
B35 via Church Posted November 13, 2023 Share #431 Posted November 13, 2023 It amazes me how ignorant some people are to public transit.... There was this lady in front of me on the BL-42, that was talking to this dude on the phone, that was apparently waiting at 233rd to meet up with her on said BL-42.... She, like everyone else that boarded in The Bronx, got on the thing at 241st.... She had to tell the dude that the 42 don't run to 233rd on weekends.... She, like half the bus, got off at 1st & 5th (and "was gonna stop off at the store first")... They sure enough sounded like locals of the area..... I was just sitting there shaking my head the entire time.... There's no way in hell that I'm not going to keep abreast of how the bus routes around me, operate - especially SPAN wise !

I personally despise that 233rd St extension because buses always get stuck turning around on that tight street. At least it will be gone in the redesign.
RSMG106 Posted December 4, 2023 Share #433 Posted December 4, 2023 (edited) So it looks like Bee-Line had received another XDE40. The number in question is #504, and was delivered to Yonkers garage as of today. This could be the option order for more New Flyers, however this was never published in any news article. They will receive 95 XDE40s, ranging from #504-598. It's currently unknown if it will replace any buses. I don’t want this because I don’t want the entire bus company to be Newflyer buses. But thanks for the update. I find it interesting that they don’t want to replace the remaining Orion V’s but I want to replace the nabi from 2009
