A Former New Yorker Posted March 23, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 23, 2017 Every Time I Calculate The Amount Of Buses On Rush Hour Flatbush Seems To Have Cleared Out All The Buses For Rush Hour. I Look At The Current Schedule For Flatbush's Routes and Used MTA Bus Time To See How Many Buses Are Out. Should Flatbush Get More Buses?
trainfan22 Posted March 23, 2017 Share #2 Posted March 23, 2017 Don't most depots clear out all the buses during the AM Rush?
Future ENY OP Posted March 23, 2017 Share #3 Posted March 23, 2017 Every Time I Calculate The Amount Of Buses On Rush Hour Flatbush Seems To Have Cleared Out All The Buses For Rush Hour. I Look At The Current Schedule For Flatbush's Routes and Used MTA Bus Time To See How Many Buses Are Out. Should Flatbush Get More Buses? I don't know how accurate is this. However, I do agree with trainfan on this. Most depots clear out during AM rush unless there are repairs or other maintenance issues on the buses. checkmatechamp13 Posted March 23, 2017 Share #4 Posted March 23, 2017 I think you need a 20% spare factor if I'm not mistaken. So if the depot is completely devoid of buses, that means there's none available in case one breaks down.

Most depots clear out during AM rush unless there are repairs or other maintenance issues on the buses. Yeah I Know But Some Depots Have Excess Buses For Example Queens Village Has 68 Buses In Depot ENY Has 66 Buses Fresh Pond Has 59 Grand Ave Has 36 And Ulmer Pk Has 64I think you need a 20% spare factor if I'm not mistaken. So if the depot is completely devoid of buses, that means there's none available in case one breaks down. Mostly They Could SBS Wrapped Buses If That Happens Since Flatbush Cleares Out All Their Lcl Buses

A Former New Yorker Posted March 24, 2017 Author Share #13 Posted March 24, 2017 FLA is not short they have more than enough buses. Well on rush hour all the lcl buses and almost all their SBS Buses Are Cleared Out. This Might Be An Problem If A Few Lcl Buses Break Down Or Are In A Crash.
