BM5 via Woodhaven Posted January 9, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 9, 2017 This was an unexpected revival of the "Dealing With The Tunnel Closure" series, which I am still not sure when it will return. These pictures are from December 31. Anyways, I took the to Freeman, to catch the Bx11 (I've been on the Bx35 already). 2002 Orion VII CNG 7643 on the Bx11 at West Farms Road & Westchester Avenue by BM5 via Woodhaven, on Flickr Here are the ridership statistics for the Bx11 trip (to see the Bx11 individually, just uncheck all the other routes): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1hJkO-qaukdyltTtDrXRuNKGkAck&usp=sharing I took the Bx11 all the way to the Washington Heights end. From there, since it was relatively early to go back home, I decided to take the M5 from the GWB all the way down to South Ferry. Since by then, all buses had signs only to 31 Street, I thought it was a short-turn, and therefore I asked the bus operator if he went to the ferry. 2006 Orion VII Hybrid 6708 on the M5 at Broadway & W 179 Street by BM5 via Woodhaven, on Flickr I took the route down all the way to the Ferry, and man was it a long ride. The bus ran behind schedule as usual, taking 115 minutes to get from the Bridge down to the Ferry. The fastest part was the Riverside Drive part of the route (which is also my favorite part of the route). It's like a hidden secret, kinda surprised that people from Upper Manhattan (mainly Hamilton Heights) don't really use it to get down to Midtown (of those that take the subway to Midtown). 2006 Orion VII Hybrid 6708 on the M5 at State Street & Whitehall Street by BM5 via Woodhaven, on Flickr Last time I would ever see this in person: 2006 Orion VII Hybrid 6643 on the M5 at State Street & Whitehall Street by BM5 via Woodhaven, on Flickr And one pic of the M15 SBS 2011 Nova Bus LFSA 1279 on the M15 SBS at State Street & Whitehall Street by BM5 via Woodhaven, on Flickr Here are the ridership statistics for the M5 trip: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1iSHDQ4MNgV___nUUDJCgGL9k1nM&usp=sharing ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Don't think I forgot about the Bx17. This was on a weekday, but I decided to incorporate it into this series too. So one day last month, I took the Bx17 from the Mill Brook Houses all the way up to Fordham Plaza. 2004 Orion VII CNG 7771 on the Bx17 at E.
