Tom Meadow Posted March 13, 2017 Share #76 Posted March 13, 2017 I doubt it, not only did Nassau not want to pay the MTA for it, they also went to someone who'd do it cheaper. But NICE f**ked up the system beyond a point where the MTA would even consider taking it back. Iam gonna have to agree with u on that.I doubt this will happen but what about a nice/sct merger.
Gotham Bus Co. Posted March 13, 2017 Share #77 Posted March 13, 2017 who knows maybe it will If you were a contractor and one particular client never paid you in full (or at all), would you do any more work for that client? No.

N6 Limited Posted March 22, 2017 Share #79 Posted March 22, 2017 I saw an Artic on Hempstead Turnpike today heading eastbound in Elmont. Must be training B\Os on the actual route now.
RES2773 Posted March 25, 2017 Share #80 Posted March 25, 2017 Iam gonna have to agree with u on that.I doubt this will happen but what about a nice/sct merger. In my opinion that would be amazing, but logistically would be a nightmare. Here are a few of many: - NICE uses MetroCard and SCT doesn't - both have different fares - nice has GPS and live tracking, I don't even think SCT releases public GTFS data - completely different operators It's a "nice" idea but I don't think it would ever happen Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app

Future ENY OP Posted April 3, 2017 Share #83 Posted April 3, 2017 I took sneak picture when I went to NICE Bus meeting yesterday for my 3/30 Birthday. Long Island is going to look so different come April 9th. Great pictures tho. I'm assuming these will be used for the N4 and N6x only?

Cait Sith Posted April 3, 2017 Share #86 Posted April 3, 2017 Will it be for the local and/or the express? Supposedly express. Their wording is vague. Should be for both honestly. (I'm still not riding that n6, Hempstead Turnpike can be a nightmare)
N6 Limited Posted April 3, 2017 Share #87 Posted April 3, 2017 Supposedly express. Their wording is vague. Should be for both honestly. (I'm still not riding that n6, Hempstead Turnpike can be a nightmare) Hempstead Turnpike used to be fine, but all of the out of sync signals has turned it into a NYC thoroughfare.
NY1635 Posted April 4, 2017 Share #88 Posted April 4, 2017 I just saw a sign for the artics at Hempstead Transit Center. They will be departing at Jackson starting at 4:15am to 7:30pm. Some runs will be express.

NY1635 Posted April 5, 2017 Share #90 Posted April 5, 2017 I wonder if they went by the APC's and decided to put out the Artics for the most full runs. Doubt it since the articulated buses also have a Saturday Schedule between the hours of 4:50am to 10pm. Only four morning trips and two afternoon trips are dedicated to the n6x.
Zachary Transit Posted April 5, 2017 Share #91 Posted April 5, 2017 I took sneak picture when I went to NICE Bus meeting yesterday for my 3/30 Birthday. Nice photos! I like how the back looks, but my only concern is the doors and how there isn't a middle one.

NY1635 Posted April 5, 2017 Share #93 Posted April 5, 2017 Are the middle doors on the articulated buses necessary? I've been seeing riders at Hempstead Transit Center and Jamaica 168th Street pass up the n6 locals to wait for the n6 Express during rush hours.

Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app well the last day of service for the routes cut is then, so it makes sense to start service when the new schedules and routes take effect. FamousNYLover Posted April 28, 2017 Share #99 Posted April 28, 2017 Here is n6 Articulated Schedule at 165th St Bus Terminal. Weekdays Saturdays
FamousNYLover Posted May 14, 2017 Share #100 Posted May 14, 2017 (edited) I took clear shot of n6 Artic schedule. Please note some n6/6x articulated trip might be using regular buses. Weekday Saturday Weekday May 12th: 4:54pm n6 Jamaica Artic trip using regular fleet leaving from Artic Bus Stop. Maybe Articulated Bus is breaking down due to lack of maintence? I asked bus driver, "Where's long bus?" and he said, "I was suppose to get one." Edited May 14, 2017 by FamousNYLover
