metsfan Posted October 1, 2008 Share #2 Posted October 1, 2008 You gotta be extra careful with coming into wtc. They will take your camera if they see you videoing. - A
Fan Railer Posted October 2, 2008 Author Share #3 Posted October 2, 2008 yeah i know. i got lucky. still, i was really cautious toward the beginning of the route. thats why there are so many distance discrepancies. and the fact that i sometimes stopped videoing before the train came to a complete stop. if you look carefully in the exchange place vid, there was a cop so i freaked out. he didn't catch me though. whew. Pablo M 201 Posted October 4, 2008 Share #4 Posted October 4, 2008 Those were all excellent! Its been a while since I just ride PATH and stand at the RFW. And I love the door chimes on PATH, its just a whole symphony of them! BTW, in the third video, was that train in the beginning in service? Its been a while since I've seen or been on an in-service train that had to go via the yard. Last time I've experience that happening was back in 2006 or so, and it was fun. I hope they do that next time I'm going to Newark during midday or on a weekend to have a nice better look at the PA-5s other than blowing past one on the line or one thats in the yard. metsfan Posted October 5, 2008 Share #5 Posted October 5, 2008 You gotta ride again pablo, the drivers are as crazy as evar! I love the chimes too. Reminds me of that train w/ the funky acceleration sound. You know what's really cool, are the mile long NS trash trains that run next to the path ROW. Some of them use articulated cars. - A
trainfan22 Posted October 5, 2008 Share #6 Posted October 5, 2008 I hope the PA5 have Horns like the current path fleet and arrow III's have...

I think they all use GE traction motors, but that's just me...

Some of the cars are just funky sounding and need to be pulled from service in a few years, but some of the PA3 cars sound very "industrial" as they speed up from stopped. - A
