Tonyboy515 Posted October 27, 2016 Share #9 Posted October 27, 2016 I was riding some R68/A 's and R160A/B 's this week, and all of them had the November 2016 maps. Also, ant Kings Highway station, the overhead destination now says "To 57 St/7 Av". They took off the Astoria sign.

Around the Horn Posted October 27, 2016 Share #11 Posted October 27, 2016 Can someone snap photos of the Cortlandt Street station and Fulton Center when the is reintroduced?I'm at Cortlandt right now. The is only on the service signage on the platform (and some old ones are still up). Everything else in Cortlandt, Fulton Center and the Oculus only has the listed. Everything else in Cortlandt, Fulton Center and the Oculus only has the listed. Thanks for checking it out and reporting back. For some reason, I have a gut feeling that Cortlandt Street and Fulton Center will be the last stations to be updated. I'm very curious to see how they tackle the Corbin Building's iron awnings on John Street.
JMA1982 Posted October 28, 2016 Share #13 Posted October 28, 2016 The W will be getting new tech or maybe the 211's when they go in service.
Fresh Pond Posted October 28, 2016 Share #14 Posted October 28, 2016 The W will be getting new tech or maybe the 211's when they go in service. The comes back in a little over a week from now. I highly doubt they can build hundreds of new subway cars, deliver them, test them, and throw them in service in that time frame. More than likely it'll use the 160s

Lance Posted October 29, 2016 Share #16 Posted October 29, 2016 For those wondering what trains the will use, look back to previous car assignments when the was running. Since this is essentially a return to pre-June 2010 service levels, we have a pretty good idea of what will run on the line.

When they finally take delivery of the 211's more than likely the W will be seeing those in the future.
Mysterious2train Posted October 31, 2016 Share #19 Posted October 31, 2016 New sign at 14 St: I understand this sign was probably used for multiple stations, but it makes no sense at 14 St, where the and are available right there. I saw this sign at Lexington Av-59 St and I don't know if it's new or not. But I'm posting it because it says to go downstairs for the and at night when the Lexington Av local platforms are above the Broadway Line platform. Nice... Union Tpke Posted November 1, 2016 Share #21 Posted November 1, 2016 It could have also said take to 34 St for They used to say that. I suspect that they changed it because if you are using the you can't get to the stations from Queens Plaza to Roosevelt Avenue without transferring back toward Manhattan. Porter Posted November 8, 2016 Share #24 Posted November 8, 2016 The outdoor signs at Fulton Center have not been updated. Perhaps they are waiting for December's purported opening of the connection so that they can sequence the bullets correctly. After all, those bullets have to be specially made for that station. I think they should also insert the bullet early and tape over it until 2018.
Gotham Bus Co. Posted November 11, 2016 Share #25 Posted November 11, 2016 So far, every train I've ridden still announces the at Queensborough, and every I've ridden still omits the at 14th. Why is it so important for the A Division automated announcements to exclude this major B Division service change? Is there some obscure clause in the TWU contract governing how/when/whether each division's announcements can be updated?
