Lirr assistant signal and definition test

Hi all

I am going to be taking the signal and definition exam on August 31st. I pretty worried about it seems like it's a lot of material to memorize and on top of that to write word for word. Has any one in here taken the test and that maybe you can shed some light on it? Is it difficult ? Do they really mean word for word?

First, congratulations on being invited for the S&D test. Just like what LIRR 154 said, your concern has been addressed in the other thread. Nothing is impossible if you put the time in and do your best. Yes it is a lot and if they want it verbatim your answers need to be verbatim. not to discourage you but what you're studying now is only a fraction of what you need to learn/study to qualify as a conductor.

good luck!
