Will determine the rest by the end of this week to whether or not it's retired. As of now, 6643 LGA to scrap Edited July 6, 2020 by Calvin Yes, units are removed from service

Iron Valiant Posted July 6, 2020 Share #2554 Posted July 6, 2020 TTMG also removed 6550 from the roster. I don’t recall it being mentioned in this thread.

Unless there was an issue with the unit, it should of been sent to JFK Depot while a 2004/05 unit gets sent to retirement.
T J Trainman Posted July 10, 2020 Share #2559 Posted July 10, 2020 3545 was basically dead for about a year or so.
MysteriousBtrain Posted July 10, 2020 Share #2560 Posted July 10, 2020 Just a reminder later years does not always mean they aren't ready for retirement. The 97-98 RTS retired way before the 96 RTS.

When the Bus was at Baisley Park, There was nothing wrong with that bus. But it's not a big deal since that bus is about 14 years old.

The OGs are ok but if the MTA's financial situation dosen't improve soon then they'll be dropping more like flies

trainfan22 Posted July 21, 2020 Share #2570 Posted July 21, 2020 This past weekend CP was still running those 2002 MCI's on Saturday AND Sunday. I don't remember what they was numbered, I just knew they was the 02 units cause of the green signs. Perhaps 2817 & 2902 was too far gone mechanically to keep in service.

Yeah, I saw 2824 in Midtown on Saturday. Was surprised to see a flipdot out on a weekend. 10 hours ago, UTC Bus Roster said: FYI, 2926 was originally New York Bus Service #1803. Hopefully they'll save it for the museum, Given that the entire 1860+ order got scrapped (first coaches) and they already plucked the NYBS seats out of 2926, I'm not too optimistic about that. It'd be great though. Edited July 21, 2020 by MHV9218
