DaTransitMan4608 Posted January 9, 2015 Share #3 Posted January 9, 2015 They made a good call with that extra 108 in the PM rush. Putting an artic on that 5:00 run made sense too, but I guess the 13 and 39 needed it more. Why not just have every other 319 serve Ocean View P/R? Hell, why is it even stopping here in the first place?

People complained at watching the 319 just wizz pass the p/r and got even more pissed watching it go into the p/r to turn around to service sea isle city. They didnt add a time point for that stop. SirJokaPlaya Posted January 9, 2015 Share #6 Posted January 9, 2015 o.O the 108 on an artic? Since when? I go to Newark almost every other day at 11am and now at 4:30pm starting Thursday. I never seen any artics on there. Even on weekends when I get in Newark, I barely see any artics unless it's on the 13 or 70. The 25 should have one too IMO. They didnt add a time point for that stop. that turnaround is because of the Townsend Inlet bridge which for years now has been open/closed to regular traffic, and it got worse after Sandy... and they never lifted the weight restriction for buses, that needs to happen before this summer, would be great for the jitneys too Why does the 315 go via route 9 and the 319 go via Parkway between Sea Isle and Avalon during the detour? Really though I wish that would happen. Artics on the 108 could work really well.

Silk City Transit Posted January 10, 2015 Share #10 Posted January 10, 2015 If that's the case then almost all the routes that serve Newark need an artic on them. (1, 21, 25, 27, 37, 62, 107) are examples There was a time before the D series MCI's arrived that Meadowlands would cover some of their runs on the 167 with Volvo artics. Probably 166 too, but I just remember seeing them on the '7'. The 45' footers essentially replaced that. I've always felt that the 166 local, especially, would do well with artics, or at least a bus with a back door, such as a NABI suburban. It's just a logistical issue because many 166 runs include local, Turnpike and I-95 express trips, along with tons of trippers. The express trips are ideal for MCI's since most people on them travel to/from NY, although they do also carry a fair number of local passengers. I also routinely see artics and NABI's on the 128 line.
mfs NJT459 Posted January 12, 2015 Author Share #11 Posted January 12, 2015 Added change: 116 has an 11:15pm departure from NY now available on the holiday schedule http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/upcoming/T0116.pdf 194 Local has 2 NY bound local trips originating from Mothers Park & Ride at 9:57am and 10:32am, expanding Mothers P/R service on Rt 23 http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/upcoming/T0194.pdf 400/403 has a run trip changed from 7:45am from 6th and Race St on the 400 (eliminated) to 7:59am from WRTC on the 403 (added) http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/upcoming/T0400.pdf http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/upcoming/T0403.pdf

It was about time I saw an articulated on the 126. I think in the rush hour, Fairview should do the 128 on Articulated or NJT give some to Meadowlands for the rush hour only during the AM/PM rush. Makes sense with the 158/156R/159R on artics. Rarely you'll see a NABI or MCI on those lines. Keep the MCI cruisers on the Express Schedules.
