theaveragejoe Posted April 6, 2015 Share #152 Posted April 6, 2015 Those might be hybrids and the batch of 7215-7277. Anyways there is electrical problems going on with the hybrids. GO transit has the same problems with theirs. Glad go never took the options beside the couple test buses that they got.
Fan Railer Posted April 7, 2015 Share #153 Posted April 7, 2015 Any issues reported from the ones down in Houston?
553 Bridgeton Posted April 7, 2015 Share #154 Posted April 7, 2015 Houston metros are good. Never heard any problems with theres and im not sure if they have that new electrical system. Shortline had issues in the beginning with the regenerative braking with drivers turning it off. No issues as of late. With the way njt wants buses spec'd i expect them to have alot of bugs when they first come.

DaTransitMan4608 Posted April 12, 2015 Share #156 Posted April 12, 2015 They have ads on the front of the CNGs now. They look so much better with them on than they did blank.
DaTransitMan4608 Posted April 15, 2015 Share #157 Posted April 15, 2015 Up to 7220 in service @ Howell AFAIK.
46Dover Posted April 16, 2015 Share #158 Posted April 16, 2015 I was going to say, it's about time for some NJT nose heralds, the Plain Jane look doesn't do it for me 7316 still doesn't have NJ Transit markings
DaTransitMan4608 Posted April 22, 2015 Share #159 Posted April 22, 2015 Has anyone seen anything past 7221 in service? I have a feeling Howell has up to at least 7236 or 7240.

Cait Sith Posted May 6, 2015 Author Share #164 Posted May 6, 2015 Wow, those 7200s are going into service quicker than I expected. I still wonder what the situation is with the shifting of diesel buses, because the south needs buses bad.
mfs NJT459 Posted May 7, 2015 Share #165 Posted May 7, 2015 I know one thing about how fast they went into service, I don't know if the CNG no standee issue was discussed on here, but read this. http://www.nj.com/traffic/index.ssf/2015/04/why_nj_transits_newest_buses_are_skipping_stops_on_its_busiest_bus_corridor.html

46Dover Posted May 16, 2015 Share #169 Posted May 16, 2015 I get the idea that there's an abundance of these buses due to the fact there are next to no standees allowed (speaking from a regulation standpoint)
DaTransitMan4608 Posted May 16, 2015 Share #170 Posted May 16, 2015 AFAIK Howell has up to 7238 in service. For some reason we got 8273 back...
