realizm Posted April 30, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 30, 2014 Pretty damn brilliant find on your part, I would have never thought of that!
GojiMet86 Posted April 30, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 30, 2014 Google Earth has had Street View for many years now. On the tolls on the way to the Rockaways, #740 on the Q52 can be seen heading up. Many CNGs and 6## Orions linger around Flushing, and up until some months ago Jamaica and Baisley had some old RTS.
MHV9218 Posted April 30, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted April 30, 2014 Pretty damn brilliant find on your part, I would have never thought of that! Thank you sir! I know they've had Street View lol, but they rolled out a new feature that allows you to choose which Street View archive you'd like to look at. Whereas they used to periodically update the images every year or so, you can now choose which year you'd like to look at back until 2007.

Just thought that Street View in general was a throwback machine unto itself. Better start checking out some stuff then.
Cait Sith Posted April 30, 2014 Share #6 Posted April 30, 2014 Because of this, I show up on Google Maps now. To those that haven't seen the picture/location, try and find me lol.
peacemak3r Posted April 30, 2014 Share #7 Posted April 30, 2014 There's a picture of my first car on Google maps, only hint I'll give is that I was entering a highway.
BreeddekalbL Posted April 30, 2014 Share #8 Posted April 30, 2014 dumb question how do you see this on google maps?
Cait Sith Posted April 30, 2014 Share #9 Posted April 30, 2014 dumb question how do you see this on google maps? When you're on Google Maps, click on a location and if "Street View" shows up, click on that option and you'll be in that mode. If you don't see a clock on the left hand-ish side, you don't have the time machine option yet.
traingoat Posted May 2, 2014 Share #10 Posted May 2, 2014 It fun to use the maps at times as it shows you at times what it looks like now when you have been away for years.
ttcsubwayfan Posted May 7, 2014 Share #11 Posted May 7, 2014 I can't seem to find any streets for which this feature has been enabled... can anyone give examples? (I have no idea what street is shown in the OP).
