MTA Bus Posted October 4, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted October 4, 2013 Very interesting stuff man! Those buses on that "Q25" route there look almost like our low floor buses here in Chicago; do you know what they are called by any chance? (sorry, not the best busfan out there!) They are called the New Flyer C40LF.

Via Garibaldi 8 Posted October 4, 2013 Share #7 Posted October 4, 2013 Take a closer look at the RTS on the Q9... The only thing I can see is that it was an NYCT Bus that's on a Bus line...
GojiMet86 Posted October 4, 2013 Share #8 Posted October 4, 2013 The only thing I can see is that it was an NYCT Bus that's on a Bus line... It's a 5000 RTS unit at MTA Bus. LGA borrowed a few about 1-2 months ago, and as far as I'm aware, that was the first time the 1999 RTS ran for MTA Bus. The MTA Bus RTS are the 1996/97 units. Ah well, I've seen that bus around for a while so I'm not exactly in shock to see it being moved around so much. Happens a lot to the older fleet in particular. I believe chicago has the diesel equivalent of our c40lf's (D40lf) running around it's street's. Although I believe they are in the process of replacing them at the moment. Future ENY OP Posted October 11, 2013 Share #11 Posted October 11, 2013 I also see that the MTA is making good use of the 30x240 super king ads in the outer boroughs of Brooklyn and now Queens. All Brooklyn division buses are starting to get 30x240 super king ads on their buses. Especially FB making good use along with rear wraps again. Seen about 1/2 dozen RTS buses with reap wraps. and qull has rear wraps on their NGs. Taking a script from FB which had them most of 2011 and last year. Would be nice if FB put a 30x240 or 30x215 ad on their NGs.
