Threxx Posted November 19, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 19, 2012 Really... is a new thread necessary for every little thing? Glitches happen all the time... nothing to fret about...
RollOver Posted November 19, 2012 Share #3 Posted November 19, 2012 Glitches happen with any of the NTTs. A couple of weeks back, I was on a heading for Brooklyn and the announcement went "This is a Manhattan-bound express train" until Borough Hall where the announcements resumed to normal. Kamen Rider Posted November 19, 2012 Share #4 Posted November 19, 2012 the signs are activated manually. the crew has to select the route in the computer system. and since a person is involved, mistakes can and will be made.
Mr Railfan Posted November 19, 2012 Share #5 Posted November 19, 2012 Something strange happened to The announcements after Sandy. In Brooklyn, it says "This is C.I. Bound EXPRESS train" Why When trains run the Q from astoria - Broadway local - Brighton local - to coney island program , the announcements are set up to say "CI bound Q express train" in brooklyn. I guess the person who was programming that particular route program put in the wrong CI bound Q announcement.
Orion VII 4 Life Posted November 20, 2012 Share #6 Posted November 20, 2012 Really... is a new thread necessary for every little thing? If only we still had the dancing lock...
peacemak3r Posted November 20, 2012 Share #7 Posted November 20, 2012 That's definitely not new. But the past comments already answered your question. To add on, when we had that going express to Brighton and Coney while the heading north went local, the I was on had the Brighton Express setup. PATCOman Posted November 20, 2012 Share #9 Posted November 20, 2012 On a similar note, when the goes via the West End line and local in Manhattan, it announces it as an express in Manhattan.
CenSin Posted November 20, 2012 Share #10 Posted November 20, 2012 During some morning trains to Manhattan, 57 Street-bound trains running express along Broadway will have next station announcements beginning with: this is a Manhattan-bound local train. It makes these announcements as far as Atlantic Avenue–Barclay Center even though it runs express from 59 Street. This is true for every 57 Street-bound via Broadway express and is probably set in stone until they can fix the program.
