Around the Horn Posted June 13, 2017 Share #4478 Posted June 13, 2017 Not exactly sure why but just took an down second avenue... also took a Manhattan-bound around this time yesterday. There's schedule trains from 96 Street and the Manhattan bound you rode came from the yard down to Broad St, so it could head back to Jamaica Center.

Oh right, the up Second Ave run "reverse peak" in terms of the UES. Forgot about that. And that makes sense, thanks Edited June 13, 2017 by LongLiveRock

SoulAce Transport Posted June 19, 2017 Share #4484 Posted June 19, 2017 Then again, the MDBF of R46s is actually in the middle when it comes to all the NYCT cars. How come they're often involved in the most high-profile incidents, like when that R46 F train stranded passengers recently?

CenSin Posted June 19, 2017 Share #4486 Posted June 19, 2017 Its just clearing now, but they had shuttle buses running the from 36th to 95th earlier. I got on a bike and hauled myself over to Smith–9 Streets for an . I have used CitiBike far more than I expected because of these delays. The good thing is that the CitiBike coverage is just big enough to let me hop between 3 major Brooklyn trunks: Fulton IND, IRT, and BMT.

Lawrence St Posted June 27, 2017 Share #4497 Posted June 27, 2017 It is now a derailment. Apparently rumors are an R46 jumped the tracks between 125 and 86. No precise location yet, so take this with a grain of salt. Also, trains are running as a shuttle between Norwood and 161. (B)'s between Prospect and Brighton, (B)'s in Manhattan are terminating at 2nd Avenue and 42nd St-Bryant. ©'s are scattered all along Fulton and 8th Avenue, is severely overcrowded.

Around the Horn Posted June 27, 2017 Share #4500 Posted June 27, 2017 Again with r44 or r46 cars, r68s are not experiencing these problems. The R46s are completely different design from the R68s. Comparing the two is futile.
