footechicken Posted September 2, 2021 Share #7401 Posted September 2, 2021 Well they fixed the power issue but now there's a switch problem at Briarwood so it's suspended again
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted September 2, 2021 Share #7402 Posted September 2, 2021 (edited) trains are now running to President Street from 241st Street. There's no service south of it. trains are also running between 86th Street and Brooklyn Bridge. Service between 86 Street and Parkchester remains suspended, and the MTA is encouraging using the BxM6 and BxM8 for service into Manhattan. darkstar8983 Posted September 2, 2021 Share #7403 Posted September 2, 2021 I heard from an MTA employee that this service disruption will likely last through the weekend. So for those who have to commute to/from work, give yourselves an additional 45 minutes of travel time

Lawrence St Posted September 3, 2021 Share #7406 Posted September 3, 2021 I'm hearing the 60th St, 63rd St, and 59th tubes suffered major water damage, as well as the entire QBL line. I wouldn't be surprised if service dosent come back by tommorow.

If so that tunnel should be fine as trains are using those tunnels right now (terminating at 21st Queensbridge) wheres 53rd and 59th are still out.

There is essentially no Broadway service in Manhattan. I also wouldn’t be surprised if a few years down the road, the remaining subway tunnels will need to undergo extensive rehabilitation similar to the Sandy recovery work done in the Manhattan to Brooklyn tubes UPDATE: looks like the Queens-Manhattan trains are all rolling today. Service resumed as of 6:27AM. Now only the and remain out Edited September 3, 2021 by darkstar8983

BM5 via Woodhaven Posted September 16, 2021 Share #7413 Posted September 16, 2021 (edited) Some Reroutes and trains are delayed and/or rerouted while our crews perform track maintenance between Queens Plaza and Lexington Av/53 St. Some northbound trains will end at 59 St-Columbus Circle on the line. Some southbound trains are running along the line from Queens Plaza to Whitehall St-South Ferry. Some southbound trains are running along the line from Court Sq-23 St to Bergen St. Posted: 09/16/2021 01:29AM Edited September 16, 2021 by BM5 via Woodhaven
T to Dyre Avenue Posted September 22, 2021 Share #7414 Posted September 22, 2021 (edited) More signal drama on the Queens Blvd Line in LIC (where else?)… Not to mention the big switch problem at Queens Plaza that borked the and lines on Monday evening rush. If these two frequently recurring examples aren’t strong cases to de-interline QBL, then what is? It's because the has to merge with the yet again between Euclid and Rockaway Blvd. The and merge between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Canal St which limits both lines to how much they can send their trains. Extending the would result in the same exact issue and wouldn't really benefit anyone. Only reasons to extend the is if something happens to the and in this case pretty justifiable. During normal operations, it shouldn't because the added merge would defeat the purpose of the 's extension entirely because you limit trains further.

BM5 via Woodhaven Posted September 30, 2021 Share #7420 Posted September 30, 2021 Hmmm...🧐 Part Suspended trains are temporarily suspended in both directions between 5 Av and 34 St-Hudson Yards while our crews work to correct a switch malfunction south of 5 Av. 34 St-bound trains will end at 5 Av and return Main St-bound for service. Consider taking the train or the M7, M32 or Q32 bus or see buses near you at bustime.mta.info. See a station agent for a free courtesy pass to continue your trip. NoHacksJustKhaks Posted October 4, 2021 Share #7422 Posted October 4, 2021 (edited) service is suspended between Beach 25 St and Far Rockaway-Mott Av in both directions while NYPD conducts an investigation near Far Rockaway-Mott Av. Alternatives For service to/from Far Rockaway-Mott Av, transfer to/from Q22 buses at Beach 36 St. Follow this link for a map of where Q22 buses stop. LIRR is allowing MetroCard holders and OMNY users to board Far Rockaway Branch trains for no additional charge between Far Rockaway and Penn Station. See schedules on our website. — NYPD swarmed the area around Far Rockaway station earlier. (from what I heard) This incident was the result of someone getting shot at the station. BM5 via Woodhaven Posted October 17, 2021 Share #7425 Posted October 17, 2021 Service has been out for a while now. Part Suspended There is no service between Middle Village-Metropolitan Av and Myrtle Av in both directions while our crews work to correct a switch problem at Middle Village-Metropolitan Av.
