nightmare402 Posted June 19, 2021 Share #7332 Posted June 19, 2021 (edited) There is no southbound service at City Hall, Cortlandt St, Rector St, Whitehall St-South Ferry, Court St or Jay St-MetroTech while we investigate what activated a train's brakes twice near City Hall. There is no service between Canal St and Whitehall St-South Ferry in either direction. The last stop on southbound W trains is Canal St. Southbound R trains are running on the line from Canal St to DeKalb Av. Alternatives For southbound service to/from those stations, take a northbound R train. For northbound service at Whitehall St-South Ferry, Rector St, Cortlandt St and City Hall, take R trains. For southbound service to/from Lower Manhattan, take trains to/from nearby stations. BM5 via Woodhaven Posted June 22, 2021 Share #7335 Posted June 22, 2021 There was a similar power loss either yesterday or on Sunday as well around that area. Don't know if the pattern was also cause for investigation.

I was on a Bronx Bound train that got held right before 125th St at around 5:00, the was already out and was ending at 125th, 145th and 168th Sts. I didn't attribute this to the rain since I didn't know it was raining and there wasn't any particularly wet people. All the PA said was a signal malfunction, i guess the rain just exacerbated the issue.
Abba Posted July 9, 2021 Share #7341 Posted July 9, 2021 Southbound 1 trains are running express from 137 St-City College to 96 St while our crews move a train with a mechanical problem at 116 St-Columbia University. For service to/from bypassed stations take a northbound train. Expect delays in 2 and 3 train service as they share the track with rerouted 1trains. Is this true that 2 and 3 trains share a track coming into 96th st in this scenario?

The and shouldn't be affected here as the would still merge back onto the local tracks coming into 96 St. Someone probably doesn't know about the track layouts.

YankeesPwnMets Posted July 17, 2021 Share #7347 Posted July 17, 2021 Anyone know what's at Nereid? I've noticed the showing as suspended for the past few hours. Haven't seen any news reports though.
