BM5 via Woodhaven Posted January 3, 2019 Share #5934 Posted January 3, 2019 (edited) I'd say this is what all these dogs in the subway are causing. In the future, this will be more common. Expect this to evolve: Delays Posted: 01/02/2019 9:33PM Metropolitan Av-bound trains and Jamaica-bound trains are running at slower speeds due to a dog on the tracks on the Williamsburg Bridge. UPDATE 1: Service Change Posted: 01/02/2019 9:52PM Some Essex St-bound trains and Broad St-bound trains will end at Marcy Av as our crews work to safely retrieve a dog on the tracks of the Williamsburg Bridge. Please expect delays in , and service. Based On Subway Time: Train service is running only between Myrtle-Broadway and Metropolitan Avenue. UPDATE 2 (10:23 PM): The service change is back in effect. The MTA is getting backlash from Twitter for the erroneous info (turns out they are still looking for the dog, and never caught it). Delays Posted: 01/02/2019 10:16PM Correction: and trains are delayed in both directions while our crews work to safely retrieve a dog from the tracks on the Williamsburg Bridge. UPDATE 3 (10:25 PM): From a hidden twitter reply, power is being cut off. There is no or service between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Service is running as follows: : 121 Street to Marcy Avenue : Myrtle-Bway to Metropolitan Avenue It's unknown if shuttle trains are running in Manhattan at this time. UPDATE 4 (10:33 PM) Based On Subway Time: trains will only run between 121 Street & Broadway Junction. I think the trains that originate at 121 St will be always shown to end at Broadway Junction because of an earlier comment that crews are changing at that station (similar to how the from 205 St shows to Bedford Park Blvd due to crew changes). Not sure if that has been updated.

Abba Posted January 3, 2019 Share #5940 Posted January 3, 2019 Yes I saw .it seems like the main issue here was the dog got stuck under the trains . And since they removed power they really couldn’t move them.
Abba Posted January 3, 2019 Share #5941 Posted January 3, 2019 It also seems they actually moved a train back in order to retrieve it .tough situation for those on those trains . This is why many times I bring a radio scanner so at least I’ll know what’s going on .
