sebbieprops Posted July 31, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 31, 2007 As you can see, I'm copying TSOH on this one! Anyone here use the Bx19 bus? (It's the one I use most frequently, since it goes to my neighborhood.) If you do, what do you think about it?

PATCOman Posted July 31, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 31, 2007 I live near the Bx19 too, but in Manhattan. I don't really use it that much, but I would always see it bunch on 145 Street. At least that detour is over when it had to use the Madison Avenue Bridge.
sebbieprops Posted July 31, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted July 31, 2007 Too many wheelchairs, and too many farebeats. Couldn't agree more with you on that one. It's certainly true that my neighborhood has a disproportionate number of wheelchair-bound people, compared with other neighborhoods in the Bronx. DOB2RTO Posted July 31, 2007 Share #6 Posted July 31, 2007 Farebeats, how? Not paying their fare, then have the nerve to ask for a transfer. Those who go through the back door won't get one. Those who tell me they don't have it, I always do, due to them being "honest". Still I am so tired of the crap. You just get tired of it, and start giving them the look of, what story do you have for me today, that I had not heard already. Then you shrug your shoulder after they ask can I ride etc..... It's certainly true that my neighborhood has a disproportionate number of wheelchair-bound people, compared with other neighborhoods in the Bronx. One sunny Saturday, I made a relief. The bus came with 2 wheelchairs. I let one off, and another was waiting. This happened to all the way Riverbank, and back to Tremont. Six in my first round trip.
