Gorgor Posted February 26, 2013 Share #3576 Posted February 26, 2013 The Chrystie Street Connection cannot be used due to a structural problem that will be fixed for about 5 years. Where would the go without a connection to the Sixth Avenue Line towards Forest Hills? Where it used to always go, Broad Street.
Quill Depot Posted February 27, 2013 Share #3577 Posted February 27, 2013 It's been a while for me and this foamfest... Due to signal problems, switches at West 4th Street are stuck in the straight postion. This means all trains passing on the local track must pass 6th Avenue --> 8th Avenue northbound, and 8th Avenue --> 6th Avenue southbound. Use track maps to your benefit, and good luck. The switches north of the station are unaffected. and terminal switch south of W4, just temporary. trains run between Jamaica and 34th-Penn. trains run 8th Ave Local from 53rd-5th to W4.
Kendell Posted February 28, 2013 Share #3578 Posted February 28, 2013 Due to signal problems at 9th Ave , The Downtown Track Is Stuck In The Position Leading To The Lower Level Of 9th Ave (all other switches in the lower level are unaffected) , And the Uptown Track is stuck in the position leading To the 36-38 St Yard. Grand Concourse Posted March 3, 2013 Share #3587 Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Is it all the way in the station or sitting bw the 2 stations? If the first one, then turn all L trains back at 6th av. I would try to pry open one of the doors with a crowbar or some other object and let everyone thru (crossing bw cars to get to the car with the opened door). It happens me before when I was on front car of Bedford Park Blvd-bound when they had single shuttle bus operation to 205th St due to Weekend G.O (I think few years ago), and T/O took wrong switch and rear of train was at Bedfrod Park Blvd Station. I was calm in situation from watching evacuation videos on MTA Website. Conductor took awful time opening the car door when operator and conductor announced "We;ll evacaute> I think this should be part of fve rules for emergency evacuation.

Wallyhorse Posted March 6, 2013 Share #3596 Posted March 6, 2013 (edited) A tropical depression has flooded Atlantic Avenue - Barclays Center and Bergen Street (2/3). What would you do, and it's a busy night in Barclays Center! I'm assuming the entire complex is flooded, but DeKalb Avenue is usable for this purpose. This also would affect the Fulton Street and lines since they have stations just east of Barclays. With that in mind: Aside from such noted below, Shutte buses operate as follows: Jay Street-Metrotech to Utica Avenue (also stopping at Barclays Center) Jay Street-Metrotech to Bergen Street on the Culver Line Court Street-Borough Hall to Prospect Park (also stops at Frankin Avenue IRT/Botanic Garden Franklin Avenue station) making all stops on the IRT and BMT line stops between those stations. operates to Jay Street via regular route, then via the to Coney Island (replacing it Church Avenue-Coney Island), making express stops between Jay Street and Church Avenue and replacing the from Church Avenue-Coney Island, then running via the to Bay Parkway, where it terminates. and suspended. Single track shuttle train operates between Jay Street and Hoyt-Schermerhorn. Single track shuttle operates between Franklin Avenue and Utica Avenue. shuttle trains operate as follows in Brooklyn: Utica Avenue to Lefferts Boulevard (local to Euclid Avenue) Broadway Junction to Far Rockaway (express to Euclid Avenue) Rockaway Park is also extended to Broadway Junction and runs express to Euclid Avenue. is re-routed via the to West 4th, then via 8th Avenue, replacing the to 168th Street. Shuttle train operates between Essex and Chambers Street. If traveling East of Utica Avenue on the Fulton Street line, please use this train if possible and transfer at Broadway Junction. runs normal service to West 4th Street, then via the to Jay Street and the to Coney Island (replacing it Church Avenue-Coney Island), then through Coney Island via regular route to 36th Street, where it terminates. is shortened to Church Avenue and is replaced by and trains running to and through Coney Island (see above). Single-track shuttles operate on both express tracks from Broadway-Lafayette, Manhattan to DeKalb Avenue, Brooklyn. runs Court Square-Bedford-Nostrand Aves. ONLY! Shuttle bus operates Bedford-Nostrand Avenues to Bergen Street (also stopping at Lafayette Avenue station) and a single-track shuttle train operates Bedford-Nostrand to Clinton-Washington Avenue. operates Ditmars Boulevard, Queens to Jay Street-Metrotech, Brooklyn ONLY!! Single-track shuttle operates to DeKalb Avenue. is truncated to 300' trains and runs from Botanic Garden station to Coney Island, then running through and replacing the via Sea Beach to 36th Street-4th Avenue, where it terminates. The 7th Avenue station is CLOSED! Frankin Avenue runs as a single train between Botanic Garden and Franklin Avenue. runs as a shutte between 59th-95th Streets ONLY! operates in two sections: Via regular route in the Bronx and Manhattan (local south of Times Square)-Rector Street/South Ferry station Franklin Avenue-Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn with LIMITED service to Grand Army Plaza and Eastern Parkway (some trains begin and end at these stations). runs 148th Street-14th Street ONLY!! runs in two sections: Woodlawn, Bronx-Borough Hall, Brooklyn Franklin Avenue-Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn with LIMITED service to Grand Army Plaza and Eastern Parkway (some trains begin and end at these stations). runs to Bowling Green or Brooklyn Bridge ONLY!
