9025 likely retired from Wayne. Last tracked on June 28. If so, all the 2006 CLs are retired.

EDIT: resent to the right thread

Last of the 9000s in service. All the CATs are done. Next cruisers to go will be the CNG buses at Howell, but that won't be for a while.

They will get rectified tanks. They will be around for at least 20yrs.

Probably the hybrids are next to go. Some are already retiring it seems.

They legally can’t retire the hybrids until they are 12yrs old; one of the stipulations when bought with federal funds.

18073 & 18087 are at Meadowlands

19142 is at Washington Twp

21199 is active for Howell on the 64

24010 (on the 159) & 24013 (debuted on the 158) are active for Fairview

Wasn't 18087 just an Oradell run for the 166?

And 24010 was already brought up last week to be in service.

Yes, however, 18087 was tracked on various Meadowlands routes (and at the garage) for most of last week and earlier today. It hadn't been on an Oradell route (other than the 166) for at least a month according to Transsee.

As for 24010, it was not yet marked as active on the roster site, hence why I reported it.

On a side note, it appears Meadowlands may be short on MCIs since they've been borrowing various buses from other garages (mostly Fairview, Oradell, & Wayne). This might be resolved once they receive Fairview's MCIs in less than 3 weeks.

Yes, but they can put them all into a "rolling reserve" where they use them as necessary.

Keyword here is retired. They can sit them aside but they must remain registered. Ironbound destroyed those buses, when we had them at Egg Harbor we got all the bugs out of them. The only problem that remains they burn too much diesel because the regeneration occurs with the front axles. The Auxiliary Brake was useless because it didn’t put power back, so in turn the engine cut on earlier then 27mph causing more fuel burn.

It was criminal sending those to Ironbound. Always felt like those buses should've stayed down south.

Looks like you're right about 18087 as the unit is on the 320 park & ride.

I think 18073 also made the move to Meadowlands, but I need someone to verify it or deny it.

Been awhile since I been active and lot to report.

NFi group has seen a surge in firm orders this year. So much so, they decided to permanently keep the Pembina ND plant open.

They are in process of retrofitting the plant to  support manufacturing of their current MCI lineup of both diesel and electric MCI variants.

NFI group received firm order of 175 buses of the 1300 options for the XD40 clean diesel.  It has been added in May 2024 NFI group backlog. It is expected production in 1st quarter 2025.

NFI group stated in their July 31 2024 they continue to face moderate supply chain issues and short staffed at their manufacturing plants hence their backlog.

and

Finally, The MCI CRT order has been placed on indefinite hold. It is likely it will be replaced with a new procurement cruiser order in the coming years as NJT transforms to ZEB

What is ZEB?

21203 is at Howell on the 139. Guessing Howell's getting most of the remaining units.

Also, 21237 (Wayne) might either be at Meadowlands or Westwood. It's been alternating between the 167/177 almost exclusively for the last 3.5 weeks but I have occasionally seen it on several Wayne routes for a day or two only to return to the 167/177. It's more of an on-again-off-again situation. I just need confirmation if it has been moved and if so, which garage.
