Guest lance25 Posted August 30, 2011 Share #126 Posted August 30, 2011 I find it funny that joke Bachmann made a couple days ago about Irene being a message from God when in fact God has absolutely nothing to do with Irene regardless of whether that was a joke or not. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/29/michele-bachmann-hurricane-irene_n_940209.html You may find it funny, but in my opinion it's quite sad. Sad for the fact that she's using relatively common occurrences as a pitch to get a few votes and for the fact that people will actually believe crap like that. EDIT: I just read that it was meant to be a joke. I ain't buying it because, just like her Alaskan "clone", whenever someone calls them on something they said, they always claim their statement was to be taken in an entirely different way. Shortline Bus Posted September 3, 2011 Share #133 Posted September 3, 2011 Will the Irene name be retired as a hurricane? Well the chances are very good as the weathercasters and other 'experts' who create these names will soon make that decision. http://www.mnn.com/earth-matters/climate-weather/stories/irene-may-be-retired-as-hurricane-name FYI.
