NYCtrainfan01 Posted May 31, 2011 Share #1 Posted May 31, 2011 i've search the site for a thread like this but i haven't found one like this. if it has been done forgive me. my favorite color theme on a NYC train would have to be the world's fair colors. i like them because to me they look good on the R33WF/R36WF. they looked even better when the color of the train wasn't cover in graffiti. that's just my opinion. Forest Glen Posted May 31, 2011 Share #4 Posted May 31, 2011 Red and orange. I liked the Redbirds and I like the orange seats on the R46. I hate gray and periwinkle since they're bland.

IRT Bronx Express Posted May 31, 2011 Share #7 Posted May 31, 2011 R62/(A) colors. In my opinion, the R62/(A) cars had that shiny look when they were still fresh.

T to Dyre Avenue Posted June 1, 2011 Share #11 Posted June 1, 2011 My favorites were the R32s and R46s when newly delivered. Gotta love those blue doors on the 32s and the blue racing stripe on the 46s.
Roadcruiser1 Posted June 1, 2011 Share #12 Posted June 1, 2011 The R38's paint scheme was great when they came in new. One of my favorites. This is to prove the R32's were never crap in the first place, and they still kick butt.
Urbanfortitude Posted June 1, 2011 Share #13 Posted June 1, 2011 Red. I'll never get over the sight of two redbirds moving around that Queensboro Plaza in their respective directions at the same time. The sun shone off those babies like a majestic work of art. R36 Preservation Posted June 1, 2011 Share #14 Posted June 1, 2011 The turquoise "Blue Arrow" 1964 World's Fair look on the R33/R36 WFs, when delivered, quite psychedelic. Also the Hunter Green on the 110 overhauled R10s and 12 GE Main Line R33s in 1985. The 1982-88 all white ("whitewash") seems to be underrated, but deserves a TOMC R33 repainted in it. EE Broadway Local Posted June 25, 2011 Share #20 Posted June 25, 2011 My favorite color is the beautiful aquamarine and cream color scheme. This was the original color scheme of the R33/R36 World's Fair subway cars. My second favorite would be the turquoise and ivory color scheme of the R10s that was inspired by the R33/R36 World's Fair subway cars.

Pressed Steel Posted June 27, 2011 Share #24 Posted June 27, 2011 Gotta agree that the '64 World's Fair IRT cars (R-33WF) were the best of the bunch. The Red (R-33ML) (Crimson?) version was really nice too and this from a guy who didn't like red back then.
