What depots are in the N shuttle right now?

Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk

Manhattan Division, Bronx Division and Queens Division I believe for this G.O.

Don't forget this weekend is the (L) shuttle.

That's all of Brooklyn Division except Spring Creek.

Any other G.O's going on? Besides the (L) and (N) so far?

Staten Island will be on the N shuttle on Monday.

Now, that's interesting. Very rare to see Staten Island Division touching down into Queens. It's been done in the past, but have spotted one in a while.

Would be good to see an YUK/CAS NG rolling down these streets. I think CH cleaned house on their NG's (Yes/No)

Is it legal to take pics of Eastchester scrap buses or nah?

I will say this. It's been talked about in the past that you cannot enter (MTA) property and take pictures. You would be subject to arrest by either (MTA) ???? and or NYPD. Unless your authorized. My suggestion. Don't do it.

I've seen it happen when people enter the Queens facility and get their cars towed simply b/c they are at the wrong place. Wrong time. Those PAPD tickets are no joke.

But what if you're on the sidewalk. I know there was one time when someone actually trespassed onto their property to take a picture. It was a picture of a XN40 at JFK/PA.

As long as you don't actually enter the property and on the sidewalk, you're good.

Is that parking lot part of the property? I was standing outside the barriers so on the weeds and all that taking pics and some allied security services guy told me to stop. He told me they don't like that but he was pretty chill. I just apologized and said sry. He's like "don't worry, i take pics too." Cool dude.

If it's the parking lot on Tillotson Avenue, yes, that's employee parking. Security has the right to stop you. Sometimes they will, sometimes they won't.

The only thing that pops into my head is City Island. It's the holiday weekend, and knowingly the Bx12 doesn't head in that direction until later in the summer.

Or people getting off at White Plains Road for the (2)(5) or Fordham Plaza. Just some obvious reasons. I may be wrong.

City Island used to garner a wad of folks heading to the Seafood City back in the day (via the Bx29 and/or by personal vehicle) late at night... These days, not so much... Dallas BBQ's these days done took over that late night, big chain restaurant dining market over.... Sizzler & Red Lobster used to be go-to spots late nights for a lot of ppl. also....

There was supposedly a brawl that took place out there in City Island (Seafood city) earlier on this year...

found it:

(apparently, Jim Ross did color commentary there that night... Who knew... Lol!)

When I take the BxM1 via Inwood, I always see people waiting for the Bx12. You know Washington Heights and Inwood are areas where the Dominicans NEVER sleep. lol You can go by there 01:00 in the morning as I have and see the barbershops still open with guys getting haircuts and old dudes playing dominoes on the sidewalk, not to mention loud music everywhere. Just crazy. Could never live in an area like that. Between that and the various non-discreet clubs, those are not areas conducive to sleeping. ¡Hoy se bebe! lol

I knew a guy that ran a barbershop before he moved out of NY (early 2000's).... He was like, don't go to no barbershop that's open after 10pm if you don't want to end up being on the wrong end of a raid.... And that the women that be in there don't be the barber's girlfriends either.....

What I told him was that there's this barber near me that stays open til like 12-1am... He asked me one & only one question.

"Do it be the same nzzzz's in there every day gettin haircuts"? I said oh shit, in laughter before attempting to answer.... He then goes:

....that's why.

Anyway, as for the nightlife in the D.R. heights, while it is existant, I tend to see only dudes (of course, I don't know the spots, so take that w/ a grain of salt)..... Even around here where I am, you see these "ratchets" walking along Church av... Can't even go to the dam popeyes without getting a "mmm he cute" (In my head, I'm like, umm, no... I'm not) or the whole eye-rolling bit (as if I'm thinking about their 5 dollar, family dollar food shopping asses anyway)....

The old heads playing cards, chess, or dominoes be cool as hell if you chop it up with them.....

After seeing some of the things I've seen, nothing surprises me. Also not surprised about those barbershops... It doesn't add up. As the guy implied, you'd have to be cutting quite a few heads to justify it being open so late as a barbershop doing legitimate business.

I'm normally not out and about at 11pm, but I was coming back from the Yankee game earlier and I noticed a crowded Bx12 SBS heading eastbound. I can understand a packed bus heading westbound with people leaving Bay Plaza as the mall closes, but someone needs to explain to me how that happens on an eastbound trip that hadn't even reached Jerome at that point...

Did I mention the mall closes at 10pm? Where the hell are these people even going?

I'm not shocked by this at all. If anything i'm trying to figure out when Bx12 SBS buses do not get crowded.

On a different note, i'm highly disappointed that the MTA has not posted the 2016 ridership numbers. SEPTA, TTC, CTA, Metro LA and several others have posted 2016 ridership numbers online and the MTA is just sitting on theirs.

Yeah something is definitely up... I've been checking myself and still nothing.

Not surprised by the activity that goes on either.... They don't cut enough heads, so they have to resort to "other means" to stay afloat..... Around here, there's only one barbershop that you can see with your own two (eyes) that garners a legitimate amt. of business.... The others? You have to wonder how in the hell they're still operating as a business with little to no customers going in & out of the establishment.... It's to the point where there's some that's gotten desperate & merged with beauty salons...

...Which opens up pandora's box regarding male space.... Women dominate the atmosphere inside unisex salons (which is what they call em); women can talk their nonsense & men have to feign interest & a level of care, while men have to hold their tongues or else the work relationship'll be strained.... Some of the realest shit I've ever heard & learned from growing up came from 3 sources - grandfather on my mother's side, uncle on my mothers side, and from dudes inside the 2 barbershops my father used to take me to as a kid (both establishments are long gone)..... I feel uneasy walking into a unisex salon, because the atmosphere is not masculine at all.... It's bitch.

Clearly they have something to hide... Takes time to fudge what you need to, to project to the public....

For months now, I've been treating it as one of those things you put to the backburner & will address whenever it arises....

My level of anticipation waned months ago.....

Oh man.. the infamous seafood city fight earlier in January.. That fight reminds me of Fat Tuesdays (Queens). Opened April 3rd 2016 and closed April 3rd 2016. Now I see why late nights in The Bronx and Queens get very stupid. I always thought at one point the Bx12 went to City Island along with the Bx29. You are absolutely right with BBQ's now being the late night spot there.. Bartow Avenue now really sucks if you ask me.

... Thanks for the video reminder!

LMAO... So THAT's what happened with Fat Tuesdays.... Even though I'm not a drinker, I kept hearing all this hype about the place.... While I knew it was to open somewhere in Queens, I never knew where.... Fitting that they'd have it at the casino..... Do you remember/know what sparked that brawl?

As far as the history, I thought the Bx29 (as we know it today, not the first rendition) was a result of the splitting off of the Bx12 that once went to City Island....

For all that is said about Brooklyn, ppl here don't get as "turnt up" as they do in the Bx & Queens... While I haven't put much thought into it, you're right about that, come to think of it.... The argument/fights in Brooklyn & Manhattan (well, the late night scene south of Central park anyway) during late nights do tend to be tame on average..... Regardless, you're not catching me eating inside of any Dallas BBQ's during later hours because of the f***ery that is known to go on.... I've seen enough of the petty bickering over god knows what outside at the downtown one (Livingston)....

How's that one at the junction though? I know a lot of people frequent the place in general, but I haven't been around the junction after hours for a minute now to notice..... Interesting what the junction has become as of late...

The only place that I go to on City Island is Sammy's at the end of the island(last stop on the Bx29). I went to one other spot right at the beginning of the island a couple of years ago, but it always been Sammy's...

I remember getting stuck on the island for about 2 hours due to a worker from Sammy's that was killed in a hit and run last summer...

Seafood City always looked cheesy to me, with the Toyota Scion and its flashing lights in front of the restaurant.....

I went to Dallas BBQs in Times Square last weekend. We sat next to a group that was very loud, led by an effeminate male. I was just happy they were finishing up as we sat down. This was about 12:30 in the afternoon.

I've been to the Dallas BBQs at the junction. Nice and spacious. Im pretty sure they'll be making their money now with all the graduations coming up....

Give me a nice diner and Im good, although one of my favorite diners, Lindenwood Diner can be lit at times.....

The late night barbershops are another story......

As far as Fat Tuesdays, like Jigga said, "Grand opening, Grand closing..."

The (cheesy) commercial for Seafood City was enough for me.... Either way, I'm not a seafood person, so the City Island scene never appealed to me.... I only been out there (to eat) once; family took one of my cousins out there after she graduated.... Don't remember the name of the place, but it was towards the middle of the island IIRC & it wasn't Seafood city.... It was across from a gas station.... Steak was pretty good though....

Although I haven't ate from a diner in Years, I generally have no problem with them..... Food tends to be better than the chain restaurants, AINEC..... But I don't want to end up being that guy that goes to the same diner that orders the same shit everyday for 40 years straight... It's funny but somewhat sad at the same time, when I hear accounts of ppl. like that, that frequent diners....

I haven't been to one on the Junction. Nevertheless I walk past there everyday and so far no fights, or any heavy NYPD presence.

As far as that brawl in Queens. I can't really remember off hand. However, let's just say that there are so many ungrateful people in the world to have nice things in New York City.

Lol at the diner comment. Like a Seinfeld episode....

Yeah, I tried to avoid center chain restaurants in certain areas, like Brooklyn Gateway Center.

Just too crowded no matter what time of day it is....

Green Acres is a little better, although now Sonic is getting a lot of attention.....

The Bx29 is a child of the Bx12....
