E For Erica Posted April 4, 2014 Share #11651 Posted April 4, 2014 6372 just crashed into a store on 155th and Broadway... Speak of the devil...
XcelsiorBoii4888 Posted April 4, 2014 Share #11652 Posted April 4, 2014 What's good with 4862? Did they put a new engine in or is that engine just so raw? Probably a lack of insulation, but it sounds like a completely new engine. Also, this bus doesnt say "Please move away from the doors", it now says "Please do not stand in the rear door area". Had to check to make sure I wasn't on 4899 since it sounded so different and had a different announcement.
XcelsiorBoii4888 Posted April 5, 2014 Share #11653 Posted April 5, 2014 4862- Sounds strange. Is this a new engine?
NYSubwayBuff Posted April 5, 2014 Share #11654 Posted April 5, 2014 It does sound weird, sounds like a nova rts tmc a little bit, probably bad insulation
MHV9218 Posted April 5, 2014 Share #11655 Posted April 5, 2014 4862- Sounds strange. Is this a new engine? Oh shit, the RTS CNG rises again!
Cait Sith Posted April 5, 2014 Share #11656 Posted April 5, 2014 4862- Sounds strange. Is this a new engine? What you're hearing is not the engine. It kinda sounds a lot like this.
XcelsiorBoii4888 Posted April 5, 2014 Share #11657 Posted April 5, 2014 Nope, because when I got off 4862, it didn't sound like that. However, when I got off 4881, it sounded like that 4825. This is what 4881 sounds like on the inside. And on the outside it sounds like 4825
Calvin Posted April 5, 2014 Share #11658 Posted April 5, 2014 Can JFK get more D60HFs from storage instead of swapping their 2000s to 2002-03 model?

Kingsbridgeviewer382 Posted April 5, 2014 Share #11661 Posted April 5, 2014 (edited) Its interesting how JFK is still borrowing buses on weekends. 538 is on the Q7 and 529 on the Q8 at this time. GojiMet86 Posted April 5, 2014 Share #11662 Posted April 5, 2014 Queens Village, Jamaica, and Casey Stengel were doing the shuttle today. It was fun to see Orion V, LFS, Gen-I, and RTS up and down 31st Street, although traffic was killer.
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted April 6, 2014 Share #11663 Posted April 6, 2014 On the other hand, Spring Creek, LaGuardia, JFK, CP, FR, and BP were doing the LIRR Bustition. Wasn't as diverse as last time, especially since CP didn't send out any 102's and SC didn't send any of it's CT's out to the shuttle (which might explains all BM1-5 buses being mostly CT's today instead of the half and half arrangement). MTA Bus did the expresses, while Acme School Bus did the local bus (I was dying seeing the people's facing upon seeing that, lol).

And for a Sunday, there's quite a lot of them out on the Q10, which has NEVER happened!

BM5 via Woodhaven Posted April 6, 2014 Share #11668 Posted April 6, 2014 (edited) First day of Q31 Sunday Service, and there was bunching already, lol. Around 4:25 PM, two buses (an Orion V and a 68xx) both left Jamaica towards Bayside. Edited April 6, 2014 by Q23 Central Terminal

N6 Limited Posted April 7, 2014 Share #11670 Posted April 7, 2014 Was the East NY Depot built over the Fulton line, or was the subway built under the depot?
Kingsbridgeviewer382 Posted April 7, 2014 Share #11671 Posted April 7, 2014 I find it odd how the only Bee-Line Orion V that has GPS happens to be 101, the oldest bus in the system.
