It has a habit of disrupting electronics, especially communications equipment. We had a G5 and G3 strength flare within the last week.

Is that right? Im glad to see that Samuelson is pushing for increased express bus service. No one internally at the MTA seems to have thought of that brilliant idea!

One of them has already been painted in the old MTA colors (2200) and the other 14 are being fixed up. You can find a picture of it on the Fleet & Depots thread.

And according to @Calvin in the Repainted/Wrapped bus thread, 7117 ( AKA 2208 I think) has also received the old MTA scheme. They did, but the amount of service they're adding is minimal. (It's like 1-2 trips on a handful of routes) Also, it's not accurate that none of those routes go into Queens (the BM5 and X64 serve Queens).
Calvin Posted May 23 Share #38887 Posted May 23 (edited) With the new Nova LFS/New Flyer XD-40 order out of MTA Bus, these are the breakdowns that's courtesy out of the Bus Moves thread and with depots as well with the routes in total on the road: LFS Smartbus: Baisley Park: 8964-9009 (46 units), JFK: 9010-9152 (153) + 9153-9188 (26 add-ons) = 189 units, LaGuardia: 9189-9271 (83) XD40 Assignments: LaGuardia: 9272-9311 (40), JFK: 9312-9353 (42), Eastchester: 9354-9387 (34) JFK future total for their LFS and XD-40 pool: 221 Estimated breakdown during the rush hours -> Q6= 18, Q7= 10, Q8= 18, Q9= 10, Q11/21= 12 for the Q11 with 4 for the Q21, Q22= 14, Q35= 6, Q37= 8, Q40= 10, Q41= 12 and the Q60= 20 -> Totaling up to 143 buses for JFK and routes like the Q22 and the Q35 classified as Far Rockaway but uses JFK buses. 143/221 -> spare count up to 70-78 units overall LGA future total for their LFS and XD-40 pool: 123 wrapped buses + 45 standards Estimated breakdown during the rush hours -> Q18= 14, Q29= 8, Q33= 6, Q39= 10, Q47= 16, Q49= 6, Q67= 14, Q69= 16, Q72= 6, Q100= 8, Q101= 8, Q102= 8, Q103= 4 and the Q104= 6. Totaling up to 165 buses. 130/168 -> spare count up to 38 units overall Baisley Park has the Q64 that uses 16 buses and Q112 that totals to 10 and Q110 up to 12. This totals to 38 units out of 46 giving 8 Novas to spare. * The order for MTA Bus gives out more buses to spare during the rush hour if they can be short, they have an add-on in spare count to their list. Also, in-case of winter snowstorms if they need more out for the artic routes at said depots, it somewhats help. ** This total list may not be 100% accurate but to see if there's any spare factors and there is. Feedback does help. Edited May 23 by Calvin

When we had the modified driver barriers installed we were sending buses to the Grand CMF for the modification.
