I'm curious to see how the LIRR is operating, as well as the subways. Obviously be smart, safe, and healthy. trainfan22 Posted April 13, 2020 Share #30353 Posted April 13, 2020 Nothing wrong with busfanning in your neighborhood, I'm talking about taking pics & vids, not riding. MTA is straight up telling ppl if you're not an essential worker, STAY HOME! It would be funny if buffs are riding the system anyway as fanners are very critical of regular passengers not following rules lol.

aemoreira81 Posted April 13, 2020 Share #30356 Posted April 13, 2020 (edited) On SI, not only has the MTA temporarily reduced service to just the 7-day-a-week routes (plus the S55 and S56), but the MTA has also removed the routes that only operate weekdays from BusTime searches. For MTA Bus, can service be reduced likewise, with modified Q34, QM20 service and combined BxM7/8 service? I was solo till I got to West Side Highway and caught the two buses ahead of me. From there, we did some stuff, wound up going thru Central Park, went across to 3rd, up to 96th, circled back to Lex, only to find out that we had to go down to Park to access the fuel line. The second trip to Tuskegee that night, we just all freestyled it.

FLX9304 Posted April 16, 2020 Share #30368 Posted April 16, 2020 Ok. I was up in the city 2 days ago on a family visit. On my way home, I took 8325 on the Bx16 to Woodlawn-Jerome and I noticed something: The TA is using Microsoft Zira to announce bus stops instead of drivers themselves, and it was on static mode, either it was saying the stops or not pronouncing the avenues right. With the new Real-time TVs installed, did the entire fleet get them? Or just the buses from 2011 up

I am convinced that people don't want to work in the city because they don't want a video conference with the MTA on top of the meetings in their offices. All this does is Vindicate the RTS GMCs with their simple signs and basic seating. Can't they at least go for a simple Clever Device and voice recording? Any sane bus drivers will start announcing stops at major intersections. I'm convinced that the bus drivers for the MTA either went to NJ Transit or SCT because the MTA is too reliant on the internet.
