Mtatransit Posted April 28, 2019 Share #26701 Posted April 28, 2019 I don't understand why they don't just combine the B91/B92 into one bus as they both the same area except one stops at Broadway-G Station.

Calvin Posted April 28, 2019 Share #26703 Posted April 28, 2019 (edited) The Bx36 uses standard CNGs with articulated buses during the rush hour. However, it's all articulated. Edited April 28, 2019 by Calvin

The Bronx along with manhattan have high ridership routes which probably is the reason for the need of Articulated buses Edited April 28, 2019 by Melbx15
4P3607 Posted April 28, 2019 Share #26706 Posted April 28, 2019 Itching to know what will happen with the remaining Orion CNGs as the Xcelsiors units with their numbers are expected to arrive in the next week or so. Maybe for the time being they'll be skipped or renumbered like 145.

Union Tpke Posted April 29, 2019 Share #26714 Posted April 29, 2019 I was on the Q58 yesterday and I saw two fare beaters with different approaches. Which of the two is more infuriating? - A woman in her 20s quickly snuck through the back door and sat down with a grin on her face. Someone wanted to sit next to her but she pointed to the front of the bus and said that she was saving it for her boyfriend who had paid the fare and sat down. She had an iPhone and could clearly afford the bus fare. - A teen holding his phone and with earbuds clearly out, just pointed to the inside of the bus, indicating that he would not pay his fare, and got on.

Save for the holding the seat bit, I see #1 play out so many times with older riders on the B12, B35, and B46, it's not even funny.... They have this weird smile on their faces, as if to say, *I deeeeeeed it, I deeeeeeds it, this how you get over on these muthumf**kuz" - and expect you to give up a seat on the strength of some, respect your elders.... FOH.. You don't automatically get respect out of me, solely because you're past your prime.... I guess that answers your question... I find #1 more infuriating (that isn't to excuse the brazen lil bastard in situation #2 in the slightest).....

trainfan22 Posted April 29, 2019 Share #26724 Posted April 29, 2019 Right now, in the middle of the PM Rush there's only ONE RTS in service on the B41, so weird to see considering they have been a major part of the B41 fleet since the 80s... before I was even born. Looks like 5125 is the last FLA RTS I will ride which happened on the B46 a couple days ago, bus ran hard. I remember the last RTS rides I had at my favorite depots.. FLA - 5125 UP - 5092 ENY - 4925
Coney Island Av Posted April 29, 2019 Share #26725 Posted April 29, 2019 Ulmer is clinging onto it's nine remaining RTS, Quill still has 19 RTS, and FB has 13 RTS, so altogether, there's still 41 in active service. Overall, I've caught the RTS out of these depots: ENY Flatbush Fresh Pond Grand Av Jamaica LGA Quill Ulmer Park
