Far Rock Depot Posted May 16, 2017 Share #15776 Posted May 16, 2017 (edited) Any train going into a relay except the 6 thru the loop, gets cleared of passengers. As far as the operation, I'm pretty sure the system is programmed for it,but thats for someone who knows for sure to answer. But I do know that an operator has to be In the operation cab even when its auto. So if the system operates it itself, once in the relay, the operator switches ends just as f it wasn't on cbtc Sent from my LGLS755 using Tapatalk Edited May 16, 2017 by Far Rock Depot
P3F Posted May 16, 2017 Share #15777 Posted May 16, 2017 When a W ends at 57th Street - 7th Avenue heading north, the side signs show "MIDTOWN-57 ST".
Lance Posted May 16, 2017 Share #15778 Posted May 16, 2017 All of the Broadway lines used to display "MIDTOWN-57 ST" on the side signs. Only the ones on the were changed in 2008 or '09.

Union Tpke Posted May 16, 2017 Share #15786 Posted May 16, 2017 Yesterday the screens that will display train arrivals were turned on at Union Tpke. They display Courtesy Counts and If You See Something, Say Something ads.

Amtrak706 Posted May 17, 2017 Share #15793 Posted May 17, 2017 Are the Staten Island R44s affected by the frame rot issue the NYCT R44s had? If so, how and why are they still in passenger service?

Amtrak706 Posted May 18, 2017 Share #15795 Posted May 18, 2017 IIRC, no because SIRT didn't use acid baths to clean off graffiti. You know, I always wondered how no one predicted that drenching the cars like that would shorten their structural lives. On a semi-related note, how come the R42s aren't as bad? They have non-stainless underframes and they sure got their share of acid baths.
Calvin Posted May 18, 2017 Share #15796 Posted May 18, 2017 On Monday, the 3 early morning trains will start at Gravesend-86 St instead of Bay Parkway. *When the CI side is under renovation, selected trains will terminate at Bay Parkway.
danielhg121 Posted May 18, 2017 Share #15797 Posted May 18, 2017 So which stations are opening back up in monday? I doubt all of them are because I was there a week ago and some of the stations don't even look close. Around the Horn Posted May 18, 2017 Share #15800 Posted May 18, 2017 I would hold off on that right now. I can't find a link at the moment, but NY1 reported on it earlier.
