Lance Posted January 26, 2015 Share #8551 Posted January 26, 2015 http://alert.mta.info/status/1 Remember, Plan 5 is just an enhanced Plan 4, just with the possibility of suspending service on lines such as the Brighton, Sea Beach or the Rockaways as conditions warrant.
Javier Posted January 26, 2015 Share #8552 Posted January 26, 2015 Does anyone know on the interior signs on the R160 what color LED's are in the signs?
RollOver Posted January 26, 2015 Share #8553 Posted January 26, 2015 I would take a look at the schedule for the and as well. If the is also running while the is, that would mean that for a short stretch of time, the , , , and are all sharing a short stretch of track east of Franklin Avenue. That can't be good. Another flaw right there. The really needs to be quite careful when it comes to scheduling.
Union Tpke Posted January 26, 2015 Share #8554 Posted January 26, 2015 Select Language▼ Subway and Bus Service During Storm Juno Subways and Staten Island RailwayPersonnel are in place to clear platforms and stairs of snow and ice. However, if customers must travel, they are urged to use extreme caution. As conditions worsen, NYC Transit may temporarily suspend service on outdoor, open cut sections of the system (, , and Lines in Brooklyn; and Lines in Queens; Line in the Bronx; and Staten Island Railway) to dispatch de-icers and snow blowers along these sections where heavy accumulation can occur.
MHV9218 Posted January 26, 2015 Share #8555 Posted January 26, 2015 Plan 5 isn't definite though, right? I haven't found any sources that say it's the plan and the subways will be switched off. It's definite. Why wouldn't it be? The forecast is now 24-36 inches. This will likely be the worst blizzard in city history. A subway shutdown though, that's different.

Javier Posted January 26, 2015 Share #8558 Posted January 26, 2015 When I am least expecting a R188 to come in to Times Square a R62 comes in. When I am expecting a R62 to come into Times Square, a R188 comes. I'm like wut? Btw, has 34 Street - Hudson Yards been equipped with CBTC yet?

Javier Posted January 26, 2015 Share #8563 Posted January 26, 2015 Oh my god, I'm standing in this freezing weather in Brooklyn waiting for a dam bus that should have shown up 45 minutes ago... I doubt I'm gonna make it home in time since Bee-Line bus service is already Suspended. Hopefully I'll get to the metro north station before 11.

Javier Posted January 26, 2015 Share #8566 Posted January 26, 2015 Well, good luck. Have you tried car service or taxi? No way those things are WAY over priced. And I'm still stuck in this freezing weather. BusTime keeps saying there's a bus approaching but there isn't! I chose the wrong day to go RailFanning.

I almost find it hard to believe that you're actually out here for leisure... you should have been home hours ago. Javier Posted January 26, 2015 Share #8568 Posted January 26, 2015 Trust me, I did go out there to RailFan. Bus finally came, and I'm now on a to Times Square. But since trains are running express to 242 Street I might have to get off at DyckMan and walk to 225 Street.

paulrivera Posted January 27, 2015 Share #8572 Posted January 27, 2015 As expected, express service is not running and all trains are making local stops. express service in the Bronx seems to still be running, and everything else seems to be normal.

Nope, express service on 7th Ave is starting to decrease. and trains are starting to run local and that switch problem is STILL happening at 242 Street. They need to make free shuttle buses because I am not walking out in This weather from Dyckman to 225 Street.
