For this express to really make a difference they should bump up the amount of express trains to at least 6 trips in each direction. 9 minutes ago, Bklyn Bound 2 Local said: Speaking of the F express, why did it never run express south of Church? Skipped stops would have their wait times doubled and people were against that.

The platform is really wide, different to the 205 St side. IIRC theres an car underpass for Grand Concourse and it goes under Fordham Road. The underpass would have dipped into the subway area, so the downtown local and half of the downtown platform peels off and goes around the underpass and the rest of the station veers in the other direction hence the wall dividing the platform and the wide downtown platform. Calvin Posted April 30, 2021 Share #25957 Posted April 30, 2021 (edited) The Express trains on the Culver line will be back on its schedule starting the first weekday of the month of May. In addition to that, some trains will end/start at Kings Highway due to spacing of trains on the Culver line. Difference from this year, May 2021 to last year before March 2020 is that the fleet is all R160s. No R46s on the line during the rush. Lawrence St Posted April 30, 2021 Share #25958 Posted April 30, 2021 I was looking at crowding data (from Google) at 149th St, and it seems that more people tend to transfer between the and the during the PM rush then they do during the AM rush. Perhaps it's because the is running and people will take whatever express comes on Lexington first?

AM Rush is always towards Manhattan, most riders don't need to transfer to another Lexington Line since they both go to the same place. PM Rush is away from Manhattan to the outer boroughs. it's likely that like you said, people will take whatever comes first on Lexington and will take either the or at Grand Concourse.

Probably. I know he did the JFK Airtrain announcements too before they replaced those with computerized voices.

The first thing that comes to mind is the southbound local dip because of the 7th Avenue line next to it.
Calvin Posted May 8, 2021 Share #25967 Posted May 8, 2021 While riding the Express from Jay St-Metrotech to Coney Island, comparing the regular Coney Island train ahead and behind (4:17 PM and 4:37 PM), the still manages to arrive on the same duration of the time given, 1 hour and 35 mins from Jamaica-179 St to Coney Island.

If they could take either the (2) or (5) wouldn’t that mean in the AM, there are those transferring from the (2) as well? Or is the lower number of transfers attributable to the fact that people would rather stand on the same platform than walk the stairs for the (4)?

BM5 via Woodhaven Posted May 13, 2021 Share #25972 Posted May 13, 2021 There's an to 67th Avenue reading on the MyMTA app. I wonder what that's about. Also, I hate how information is no longer feeder into the Subway Time app, I personally preferred it over MyMTA.
QM1to6Ave Posted May 16, 2021 Share #25973 Posted May 16, 2021 What's the latest in terms of CBTC on QBL? Whenever I take it now, I see some flashing green lights (which I believe indicates CBTC), but others in the standard steady green that turn to red as the train passes by.
