T to Dyre Avenue Posted May 27, 2020 Share #24105 Posted May 27, 2020 Oddly enough, my ran express from 34th to Canal this morning. It came in on the southbound express track and there was another on the northbound express. And we passed another express between 14th and Canal. I didn't find anything on the MTA website or get any transit alert emails about why.

If you go on the website and click on service status for the , the local stop disclaimer that states the runs local in Manhattan while the is suspended is no longer there. Also if you click on the local stops at 28 St, 23rd St, 8 St-NYU, and Prince St, only arrival information for the is available. Definitely an odd change, leaving Broadway Local on a 12-minute headway (assuming the is coming on-time) Yep, the northbound train that I’m on right now is running express and we passed another at 14th and another at 34th on the southbound express. So it couldn’t have been an unexpected delay sending the express this morning (otherwise the would have also been express). Though I did see my swing over after leaving 34th, so it’s still stopping at 49th. And the website still shows arrival times at 28, 23, 8 and Prince only for the . It's Akzidenz, for one (the t is nearly as tall as the U), and the 'o' looks a little wonky + the letters are really thick. Means it was probably hand-stenciled. That's what the earliest enamel white-on-black signs looked like. 86th on the B/C had one, but I'm not sure it survived the renovation. GojiMet86 Posted May 28, 2020 Share #24113 Posted May 28, 2020 (edited) I received the "NYC Transit COVID-19 Survey" in my email. Quote In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Cuomo announced the "New York State on PAUSE" executive order in mid-March. Since then, most New Yorkers have stayed home and only essential workers are using transit. Now, as we plan for New Yorkers to return to the transit system, we’d like to hear from you. If you have used transit over the last few months, we would like to know what you think of the system and our efforts to keep you safe. Even if you have not used transit lately, we would like to hear about your concerns and if you have suggestions to help make traveling safer for you and everyone else in the future. And, perhaps most importantly, we would like to know and understand your thoughts about returning to the transit system. The more we know about how you are feeling and what you are thinking about, the more responsive we can be to your concerns. To thank you for your time, respondents who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing to win one of ten 30-Day Unlimited Ride MetroCards. The survey should take fifteen minutes or less to complete and will be open through June 10. To begin, please use the "Next" button below. Before the pandemic, how often did you use the subway? Why did they not paint those on the R62s? My personal favorite (question) was the one about social distancing when more people start taking buses again.... Most of the buses I've been taking since this thing popped off have been SRO.... So in terms of social distancing, what the hell would improve in that regard, when more people start riding buses!?!?? The 2 questions about bus stops were pretty good too... I have been definitely seeing more homeless people staking out at bus shelters & for the stops that don't have shelters, they aren't anymore cleaner (as if the MTA is out there disinfecting the actual poles & cleaning up the trash blowing around, or situated at the stops themselves - DSNY be damned!) Can't make this stuff up. Edited May 29, 2020 by B35 via Church
