QM1to6Ave Posted January 24, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 24, 2011 ehh, not the best PR for the MTA- but what do they care, they are the MTA after all! They don't really need PR
w8Hou Posted January 24, 2011 Share #3 Posted January 24, 2011 MTA should seriously go after Apple that they use a MTA bus in the commercial. They could surely use some of Apple's profit that can wipe out MTA's massive debt problem. </sarcasm>

Amtrak7 Posted January 24, 2011 Share #5 Posted January 24, 2011 wow yall really spotted a bus in an iphone commercial . I have an app for ny transit , the bus schedules & status . This is a commercial that will be seen by millions and it shows the MTA in a bad light. A lawsuit could certainly be possible, but I don't know if it will succeed. Gotham Bus Co. Posted January 24, 2011 Share #7 Posted January 24, 2011 This is a commercial that will be seen by millions and it shows the MTA in a bad light. A lawsuit could certainly be possible, but I don't know if it will succeed. In general, that would probably depend on where the photo came from. In this case, freeze the video at 0:08. The user is clearly accessing the NY Times' website, so any legal issues would involve the Times rather than the MTA.
Infamous85 Posted January 25, 2011 Share #8 Posted January 25, 2011 Lol the MTA should file a lawsuit against the Sanitation Dept and the city instead. They actually weren't totally at fault with the whole bus thing. What app is that (the subway one they showed for a split second) and how does the GPS work underground? QM1to6Ave Posted January 25, 2011 Share #9 Posted January 25, 2011 What exactly would one sue for in this case? Showing a real picture of an actual stuck bus owned by the ? This is a real story-as long as they got approval to use the NY Times page, which I am sure they did, there is nothing for the to sue over. EE Broadway Local Posted January 29, 2011 Share #10 Posted January 29, 2011 The news story that appeared during the demonstration was "More On The Blizzard". The commercial has nice music.
