King Of RedBirds Posted July 21, 2011 Share #304 Posted July 21, 2011 That happened a lot back then with mixed trains and all that. I mean look at these pics here. Now that's what I call MTA Lazyness but still why they had enough cars to mate together thats stupid the numbers of cars in the 50's and 60's with the R12-36WF/ R1-42 All those cars yet all mismates.

IRT Bronx Express Posted July 23, 2011 Share #308 Posted July 23, 2011 If I was born much earlier than 1991, I probably would've foamed at the non-NTT fleets.

Joe Posted July 25, 2011 Share #310 Posted July 25, 2011 Well something could have been done other then replacing the trucks don't know what it could have been though, but it's like I always say their are ways around loop holes. Wasn't the point of the rockwell trucks was to make the R46s ride like M1s or something like that? The Rockwell trucks, as ordered by the Transit Authority, were completely unsuitable to the environment that they were running in. I know you guys love to foam about them, but there was just no way that they were going to work.

Joe Posted July 25, 2011 Share #313 Posted July 25, 2011 Only two motor cars left, both located on the West Coast. Neither are in Manhattan livery and one of them has a blown motor. Not sure if the Knox & Kane trailer still exists...

105th St KK QJ JJ J Posted July 26, 2011 Share #317 Posted July 26, 2011 The R32s are pretty nostalgic even though they are still in service. Last time a train this old was in service was the late 1960s. True.....now if I saw this at Rockaway,I'd really foam !!

105th St KK QJ JJ J Posted August 2, 2011 Share #321 Posted August 2, 2011 I heard the white WF cars on the were not tremendously effected compared to the cars on the mainline, which was a completely different story. I mean most of photos showing white R33/36WF cars they are show still cleaned though their are a few that have graffiti, but it was nothing compared to what happened on the mainline. I remember the first time I saw these(I'm pretty sure it was on the , long time ago lol)..and I thought they hadn't finished painting them yet because there were no blue stripes.
