Mysterious2train Posted May 17, 2012 Share #477 Posted May 17, 2012 (edited) A program called Inkscape. http://inkscape.org/ Inkscape files are known as SVG files. They're like PDFs in that when you zoom in, the image quality stays the same, unlike in pictures where the image quality worsens. Unlike Gregor (who also makes his maps on Inkscape), I can't really find a reliable place to upload PDFs, so I'm stuck posting small screencaps for now. I'm using a blank version of the Brooklyn Bus Map I cleaned out myself, right now we have blank bus maps for all 5 boroughs available to draw routes on. CDTA Posted May 18, 2012 Share #479 Posted May 18, 2012 Bad. The M60 already goes from Manhattan-LGA, and the Q32 being the Midtown connection would be too long without it having a non stip portion. Actually, what if it does what the M4 does, and have the drivers switch mid-route?

Let's just say the NIMBY's up in Riverdale will not accept an O7 CNG rolling through those tiny streets late at night.

The M34 & 42 were taken out of Javits for that reason. The M102 does a good job servicing R.I.

Gorgor Posted June 20, 2012 Share #499 Posted June 20, 2012 First off, I'm pretty sure that 59th Street cannot be used eastbound between 2nd and 1st Avenues. It's a one-way entrance ramp to the 59th Street Bridge from 1st Avenue. Secondly, you should really just run the M6/M6A along 57th Street to help provide relief for the M31/M57 in addition to giving access to Midtown to East 57th Street. I don't know why you want them to have such a complicated loop using streets that people use to access the bridge. Those are traffic nightmare spots. M6 response: - Nobody will ride the bus in Midtown with such an inconvenient routing. Keep it on 5th instead of sending it up 33rd just to get another portion of Broadway. - 29th Street? Keep buses off of local side streets because one double parked car or truck can mess everything up. M6A response: Also: - West 4th Street is a narrow road - MacDougal Street is a narrow road - Assuming that a bus can make it onto West 4th Street, there's absolutely no way that it'll be able to make a right onto MacDougal.
