Of course but why aren't they just scrapping them? This order is supposed to be knocking out most of those buses.

For now, they're just being pushed it to other depots, unless they're in really bad condition (and no not all of them are in bad condition like you think they are). Once the even numbered Xcelsiors come in, some of the D60's may be scrapped.

No, they are moving elsewhere not being scrapped. Those 5600s and 5700s have plenty of life left in them. East New York is rumored to get some for the B15 and the B82, as a temporary measure a lot like the D60HFs that were on the Q10.

Yeah the 56/5700's are still really good buses, they just need to be cleaned up! Lol. There's not enough artics on this base order, but most all of them will be wiped out on the option order.

Most everything through 5559 will be retired with this current order.

I see... Interesting...

You can say that again... lol

If VG8 meant the first group of D60s 5510-5519. Usually the first ones built is the first ones scrapped

Not entirely, the worst of the bunch usually gets picked first. Look at our 1996 RTSs for example. The best of that batch stayed.

True. Now it's the worst of the worst that's the first to go while those in good operation/no problems stay. Quote "It's why my favorite 9197 was sent to scrap"

Wait. I thought those 76xx buses were going bye bye. The resurrection is taking place. Send them to Spring Creek. Good to see some of those buses running on the 103.

It does say it's pending (with 4 other units) according to the TTMG roster, so it's not clear as to if the buses will see service at Bus Co or not at this time.

Copy copy KB. Although I find it strange b/c the tanks are almost expiring. I don't know how much life left some of those buses do have. However, the delivery of the newest buses are pretty quick thus far.

Interesting thing to possibly look out for in the future especially during my commute to Brooklyn College. I wonder how they'll look with the typical 103 rush hour crowds lol.

I find it more sensible for O7 CNGs to run the remainder of their lives at SC rather than borrow from JFK while the New Flyers get their repaints.

SC once had Diesel Orion V's, around 5 of them from the 95-96 batch that never ran in service. So I wouldn't hold my breath about these Orion 7 CNG's running in service on SC routes, I'd love to see it though considering I live along the B103 and like those buses.

Likewise they had 3 C40LFs from the '99-'00 batch as training buses for the '11-'13 order...possibly saw service for 1 day before retiring or returning to JG. Edited by Neko Boy With Glasse
