I wouldn't be surprised if 5925 is next to move from CS. They've completely disabled the screens and automated announcements

Yea that's not on purpose. They've been broken for awhile now. The other buses that have been transferred still have theirs on.

They would not be in service if that's the case.

Well why not? Just because the interior pilot signs aren't working doesn't mean you should take the whole bus out of service

EDIT: I realized what you meant. I'm saying the ones on 5925 are broken for a long time, not the entire fleet.

It could lead to other issues in the bus. The screens that were in the Hybrids in Staten Island(and some of the few in The Bronx) caused electrical issues within the buses.

Pretty sure MTA just half-assed it, it caused problems with the entire NG fleet that had them but in this case, its one LFSA that have signs that don't work and don't affect any other parts of the bus. Other LFSA screens have been working fine.

The MTA doesn't install the screens. The techs from the vendors do.

1286, 1287, 1288, 1289 MCH/TU? to MJQ.     5840, 5869, and 5896 TU? to MJQ.

1286-1289 are MCH units but also used on TU routes (in answer to the ?),

5840, 5869, and 5896 are TU units (before being moved to MJQ)
