Due to extra buses at Jamaica, all XD40s from Jamaica will be sent to Brooklyn. This is due to complaints about neighborhoods like Flatbush and ENY about "not enough new buses". This is also expected to replace the remaining Ngs in Brooklyn in response to said complaints.

This situation was just the same as the RTSes back in 2019, when people complained that they need new buses.

Also when said older fleet is not that big compared to the newer stuff. Flatbush has over 150 buses that are 7 years old or younger. ENY has over 120 buses that are 6 years old or younger. Half of Fresh Pond's fleet is 6 years old or younger. Some people in Queens had more believable gripes about older buses sticking around for too long before the new MTA Bus order came rolling in over the past year.

Is this a permanent thing?

Not enough new buses? Flatbush has about 10 NG’s and ENY has 6 NG’s.

Regardless the NG’s do have to go, but I also wonder what’s replacing the remaining NG’s at CS and MHV.

I was laughing about this because Brooklyn has about 30 Next Gen’s in total  roaming the streets, which is a fair amount compared to the thousands of surplus Xcelsiors that has taken over the Borough itself, and I just wonder to myself on how it’s not enough for the neighborhoods when literally each Depot has a good amount of Cuomo Scheme buses. Now added on to that, JAM only had about 17 XD40s, well 8 left now, but even when the rest get transferred over it’s technically not  enough to replace the rest of the NGs properly, unless they just have them retire off the old fashioned way. But I could be wrong though.

What I heard was that LFS HEVs from Quill would be transferred to Manhattanville when Quill get XE40s, and when Grand gets their XE40s, they're sending buses to Stengel + the rest of Brooklyn division to retire them out. Ofc we don't know that's gonna actually happen, but we'll see

<_<...I need to take up violin lessons...<_<

Brooklyn got 139 buses ALONE (7851-7989) and don't forget those XE40s coming into Grand and eventually East New York.
