Ah crap thats just bull. The New Design

Btw is the Railroad still included or did the (MTA) bring back the route line by line maps used after 1978/9?

The railroad is still on the back

^^^ Question,

Since the previous map has Subway Service Guide on the front and bottom section, did they put in some form of subway route information it at the back of the map or some where on the map or even didnt even bother to put it at all (that would be surprised)?

A question. Do you think the maps is in every subway booth? Cause im going to get mine at the nearest subway station.

Some stations do, some don't. I got mine at (MTA) New York City Transit's Customer Service Center at Stone Street, right near the (R)(W) Whitehall Street Station or the (4)(5) Bowling Green Station.

I picked up a crapload of new maps and the service changes at 3 Stone Street. The fact that the MTA eliminated the service guide is sure to cause confusion.

They did say that service guide would be available online. One (MTA) Employee told me that guide was removed for "cost-saving" measures.

Sheesh, I can only wonder how much this free map will cost us in the long run.

The cover is plain ugly. I mean instead of putting those dumb lines, why not put in some valuable information for regulars and tourists alike?

Or at least depict the fact that the map also includes railroads!

I can imagine:

Tourist on LIRR (asking clerk): Can I have a map of the LIRR, please?

Clerk (handing the new map to tourist): Here you go!

Tourist (looks at the map): But this is a subway map!

Clerk: It's a railroad map too.

Tourist (thinking): Stupid clerk.
