If you're on the MaBSTOA list you can only pick into Manhattan (excluding 126st Depot) or the Bronx. As a probie, IMO you're better off in Manhattan, but I would pick a depot that I live close too. Do you know where they are all located?

 

Im currently stayin with a friend in the Bronx about walking distance to the zerega training facility. But I found an apartment in Brighton Beach Brooklyn that im moving into in July.

Thanks Chris for that little pep talk after I failed the road test my first time. One only fails in life when they stop trying. Good luck to you this Saturday,post some questions from the dispatcher exam. Didn't they just have an exam for dispatcher in March? Why another exam so soon?

Just found this forum. Wish I would have found it earlier. Anyhow Im trying to get a feel of how most people have scored on 8006 B.O exam. I just checked my answer sheet and have 7 wrong. Would that be concidered good enough to be called? Thanks for your reply.

I am sorry Igor,this exam was a lot harder than we all thought. Last exam in 2006,around 3,000 failed. FDB and Manny,we don't know our list numbers,so we have no idea where we stand yet. Chris said that most people would get between 10-15 wrong. This was our first time taking this exam,with no real way to prepare for the exam,we did our best.

Cool Loco, thanks. I was hard on myself and wanted about a 90.. But you're right, it's all where we stand and it'll come in the mail. I honestly hope it's the last time taking it. I'm not exactly out of college.. lol

It is on the first post of this thread. "FOR THOSE OF YOU TAKING TEST #8006: YOU WILL GET CALLED FAST. Here is why. 7000 people filed for the last exam. Only about 4000 people passed."

 

I believe that the eligibles list from exam #5025 is around 4,400. I'm not a kid either,but there is no maximum age limit with this job. It is probably a lot easier to get hired from a coach bus company like Greyhound,Liberty.

well yea locomotion69 the test was harder but there is way to find out if u passed just take 80 questions subtract from the questions you got wrong and times it by 1.25 that`s your test score i think and fdb guy i`m not offended i was just posting it so they can see right away instead of going to the link. well you need to score a 70 to pass so lets say you scored 100 percent right. take

 

1.80 x 1.25 = 100

 

but i got 21 wrong take

 

2.80 - 21 = 59

 

take 59 x 1.25 = 73.75

 

which is my score

well now we need is our list number.

Late edit,it is exam 5025,not sure where they are right now,but keep in mind they are calling in people from another list(Mabstoa). The bus is a Neoplan. It was love at first sight when I saw the bus online.

I guess they are making sure they have more than enough drivers, especially if the 20/50 happens, which I hear various opinions. It'll all be wait and see of course. Also with the price of gas, the demand for mass transit is going up in addition to another depot on St. Island I heard.. all positives..

That bus is like something professional teams ride in. Pretty cool, and I'm not that into buses as yet.
