mike1 Posted June 29, 2011 Share #407 Posted June 29, 2011 Log on paint: Hit the square: Count how many dots left outside/next to the square: As you can see, there are 12 squares remaining, so all you have to do is divide by 2 and you get 6. This means you have to move 6 squares right: Copy and Paste to cover the white space. IRT Bronx Express Posted July 18, 2011 Share #415 Posted July 18, 2011 *begins tl;dr post* Is it the side bus sign (Both Flipdot and Orange)?I should make the side signs in 5-10 mins one day... I can't believe I forgot about this... - The Frame is Rectangular- There are boxes instead of circles in the sign - Different Colors Also by looking at the sign, it has a same character limit as the other sign you made and it's the Luminator Horizon sign. I forgot about this... all correct. I don't like spacing out the letters too much, hence why they all look "crammed". LOL That's sign is hot! by the way, I have some mistakes of the letters sign so do you mind if that happened.Which letters have errors? I don't mind fixing them. i love this i was just going to request this same signYou can use it if you want. Am I too late to thank you, IRT Bronx Express? If I am, I apologize! Better late then never. B) How do you make them scroll please tell me so i can try!!!:)All I know is Photoshop... how it's done is what I don't know... Can I request sign:Green LED 163:HACKENSACK SUMMIT/ESSEX Done. *ends tl;dr post*
RTS CNG Command Posted July 18, 2011 Author Share #416 Posted July 18, 2011 All I know is Photoshop... how it's done is what I don't know... Illustrator is where I design my signs, but I use Photoshop to scroll my signs. The way I do it in Photoshop CS3/4/5 are these tools. 1. The Animation Window (Window ---> Animation) 2. Copying and pasting the layer constantly 3. Arranging the time allotted per frame (the frame of sign after the scrolling's completed is two seconds; each frame when transitioning from one frame to the next is either .04 or .03 seconds). 3A. Create as many frames as possible (by copy-and-pasting and ditching what I don't need). 4. Utilize the layer mask feature. 5. When I'm done, I save for the web as a GIF file. 6. (If necessary) Using guides to help dictate where I want to put in the in-between frames. My iMac may be a bit cluttered, but I still have original TIFFs/PSDs of some signs from a while back. ^^

B) If I can find a way to get Illustrator and Photoshop CS5 the right way... lol. Thanks IRT!:cool:You're welcome. @IRT Bronx Express: Here are the mistakes. B) Some big letters for the LED sign are made up since I have no actual pics showing how they look like... except for the A, which I'll correct if I can get a better pic of it.
RTS CNG Command Posted July 19, 2011 Author Share #420 Posted July 19, 2011 If you have Photoshop and Illustrator CS3 or CS4, it'll be just as fine. ^^

The only question I have is...Whats the total transition time between the 2 frames? and the frames per seconds for that... IRT Bronx Express Posted July 20, 2011 Share #422 Posted July 20, 2011 Wow, R44 CNG really did a good job with the scrolling animation. If the instructions actually worked for him, then I will have to try it out sooner.
