Rapid Transit TO Posted August 14, 2009 Share #26 Posted August 14, 2009 Thats what they wear according to my friends father who has been a track worker for along time. He said they use that boot and a taller version with an internal medical guard. I'm sure you/he meant metatarsal guard/protection..
Alex L. Posted August 14, 2009 Share #27 Posted August 14, 2009 I'm not 100% sure but I think that steel toe boots are not allowed for any title. I think that track workers boots have a composite toe. Maybe someone else knows about this for sure. No steel-toed boots for any title that works on the roadbed - something about 600 volts and 10,000 amps in those funny pieces of metal laying all over the place.
INDman Posted August 14, 2009 Share #28 Posted August 14, 2009 I'm sure you/he meant metatarsal guard/protection.. Yea, thank you. I spell checked it but did not look to make sure the correction was what I wanted. Alex L- so the safety boots use some kind of hard plastic?
