  1. 1575 SIM32, these Prevosts man.... How long buses supposed to last? 12-15 years? These might be done by 2030.
  2. This is amazing! Thank you very very much! And yes all of these count, I appreciate it! The BM2 also counts because it alters between midtown and downtown.
  3. Drivers like that get bad karma thrown at them. What goes around comes back around, and I make it known if I get on their bus.
  4. Spot on! And I forgot about mid route splits as well so I'm looking for those as well. So for my original question I have: B17, B38, B41 S46/96, S51, SIM30 M11 Bx5 Q1, Q5, Q10, Q11, Q16, Q30, Q46, Q85 These are all routes with individual search functions (when I search Q1 I see everything that only the Q1 does) on Bustime that have multiple via routings or alternating/part time terminals. There might be more but I can't think of any for now. These are routes that don't have a standard route procedure for every bus (not including short turns, as those still use the same stops).
  5. You're very very right about the people in this city. And why is accountability such an issue? This city has no law & order. Nobody is held accountable for their actions...instead these politicians and state run agencies choose to implement stupid laws and operations that end up stagnating the city backwards instead of forward. Now they wanna defund the police...which just decreases the level of individual accountability. These organizations and agencies just suck up the nonsense and continue to flow in the dirty sewer water.
  6. That would be useless as the is right below and the B37 is on the next block (3rd) and the B63 on the other next block (5th).
  7. Thanks so much man. And yes for BusTime purposes mid-route splits apply as well. I wasn't sure how to ask the question that's why I provided the example. I'm glad caught on...S51 and Q16 are also what I am looking for but I was so accustomed to it normally just being the terminal ends that branch. Whatever essentially causes the alternating routing on Bustime is what I'm looking for. B38 and Q30...yes thank you and S46...eh I'll include it for now. Yeah my mistake with the Q1, that was just me rushing. Did you notice they removed all school trippers off Bustime? I wonder why but idc the list of stops are bit more streamlined now than before.
  8. How so? B3 is not similar to the Q1. I'm not talking about short turns either.
  9. Thanks but I wasn't talking in terms of logistics I'm talking about individual routes that you search up on Bustime showing the end of the line's stops alternating down the list to represent the two terminals along the line. @trainfan22 providing the B17 as another route is what I was looking for. I'm looking for routes that have this set up for the two (or more) branches.
  10. Another question yall...what routes with a branch at the end do we have? Like the SIM30 having two southern terminals, the B41 having two eastern terminals, the Q1 having two northern terminals, etc. Any other routes like that? Not like the Q15/Q15A or M14A/M14D because those are two separate routes.
  11. Just passed by the Costco area on the express bus and noticed what looked like a covered subway car. Is that another R211?
  12. That's basically what I was trying to clear. So these are all indeed circular routes (even though they have a "end point" on each end), meaning passengers are allowed to stay on board and can reach a stop that is not adjacent to the stop in the opposite direction. For all these lines, drivers may take a 2-5min break (depending on the line) with people on the bus then continue back to the main terminal. Even with @BM5 via Woodhaven remark about the timetables being continuous throughout the loop, it verifies that internally the line is designed to continue back to the opposite terminal which officially includes a "scheduled layover". I noticed that with all the lines Bx18, Bx23, Bx24, B74, M35, M60, Q48, Q70, Q72. I personally don't see why a Bx18 operator would need to rest at Sedgwick with a route that's 40mins or less total the full loop. The B42 is officially not a loop route as the timetables have layover time on each end. I suppose that will change with the redesign. Note: I also noticed on the new PDF schedules they've incorporated the loop structure onto the routes. Would've been nice if they could've streamlined the timetables across so the main terminal timepoints are at the left AND right of the timetable and the "turn around point" is in the middle of the timetable (like the B74 PDF) instead of breaking them up into terminal format. Just adds unnecessary route directions to find and extra pages.
  13. Do the drivers only terminate at the Grand Concourse? The map shows they also terminate on Sedgwick Ave so idk if that's accurate or outdated.
  14. What circular routes do we have in the city? And by circular I'm referring to routes that only have one main terminal for shutting the bus off type layovers. Queens: Q48, Q70SBS, Q72 Brooklyn: B74 Manhattan: M60SBS Bronx: Bx23
  15. They change drivers after every trip? Why do some M60 buses sit at Terminal B for some time? Also, the M60 has an LGA airport bound destination code and a West Side bond destination code. When do they change the signs? I'm trying to figure out why the ADA screens on the M60 glitches while it's at the airport.
  16. Does the M60 SBS have an eastern terminal within LGA? Or does it basically do a giant loop like the Q70 SBS?
  17. I didn't know the Sydney Metro trains are the same propulsion. That would be too good to be true. The others you posted sound horrible. The 1996 Jubilee Line trains will forever be one of my favorites. Then you also have the Montreal MPM-10 and Paris MP14 with the Alstom Optonix IGBT-VVVF propulsions. Not sure why they all sound different if they have the same base name.
  18. Thank God I'm not the only one who's aware of what goes on around the world. People act like NYC is so unique compared to the world. Everything we talk about, in terms on innovation (OPTO, CBTC, platform doors, open gangway) are all VERY possible and should've all been implemented by now at least in parts of the system. Eventually when the dirty corrupted leaders expire, NYC will be in good hands hopefully, and the torch isn't passed down to the wrong ones.
  19. The issues are so grand and oblivious and they are purposely denying their mistakes. I'm starting to think this is deliberate neglect within the MTA. These issues are obvious and they claim they do quarterly checks of all the lines. We should not be doing all of this extra running around just to submit ONE issue. This complaint has been going on since March and the email chain is 11-12 messages long. I provided so many screenshots, photos of the stops, PDFs, etc, and they still refused to admit their mistake and now they want to revert to routes to match what's on Bustime. Clearly there is a disconnect between the different organizations within the MTA, and when it comes down to innocent bus drivers being verbally assaulted by riders for neglect from the MTA, I will make sure the dirty system gets fixed ASAP. I'm ready to take this to whoever is above the BusTime team because it seems intentional to have these issues for so long, and then when someone reports it, they're ready to change the route up without notice or approval. I will be reaching out to a few third party affiliates I know within the MTA and once I receive their contact information I will write to them to find out what the organization chart consists of to see who overlooks BusTime, and who the person who overlooks BusTime reports to. This is absolutely ridiculous how something SO easy to do takes so long to fix. 14 years of neglect!! (and yes it's easy, I've learned GTFS data and the Hastus software online in in some coding courses). They do not need a third party contractor updating the system. They need people in house who are communicating directly with Road Ops/DOB/DOT. This will be straightened out before the year is over. Enough is enough!
  20. The train in this video has the same propulsion as the R211, so the R211 might sound like this when it starts moving under its own power.
  21. For the S81 my apologies I said Townsend, I meant Willow Ave...I don’t even know the official stops because the bus stops show one thing...the PDF schedule shows another...and BusTime shows ANOTHER... The S81 signage on the lollipop poles are posted at: St George Ferry Bay St/Victory Blvd Bay St/Water St Bay St/Willow Av Bay St/St Johns Av New York Av/Cost Guard Dr (everything after is correct) The PDF schedule says the following limited stops are: St George Ferry Bay St/Victory Blvd Bay St/Water St Bay St/St Johns Ave New York Av/Cost Guard Dr (everything after is correct) The BusTime list has the following stops for the S81: St George Ferry Bay St/Victory Blvd Bay St/Water St Bay St/Hylan Blvd New York Av/Cost Guard Dr (everything after is correct) Personally, I’d keep it how the bus stops signs are posted. The Willow Av and St Johns Av stops get used well. The S93 is indeed only Brooklyn Bound, and yes…BusTime has all the limited programmed to stop at Nick LaPorte Place after the ferry. What a joke… Did you even see the S86?? Can you believe they allowed that to look like that for all these years? Even you didn’t mention it, lol. The S86 is really non-existent to everyone...
  22. I don't even know who to reach out to...maybe @Via Garibaldi 8 knows who to reach out to? I mean what would they be able to do? Seems like the MTA cannot even figure out their own service plan, and it seems like a different organization works on the PDF schedules, while BusTime does their own thing, and DOT does their own thing...complacent, confused, and inconsistent.
